downloads - new sub sections required?

Post by tubemad »

Hello all,

I would put this in site queries but I'd like some feedback or a debate as to whether it's worth it.

I would like to see some new sections in the download section for TS2017. With new routes like Western Mainlines, South Devon Mainline, South Western Expressway, Chiltern line etc etc it's hard to find where to file it. Maybe it's my OCD but I like to put my files for download in the most appropriate folder. Because of the old MSTS route's, it is possible to use London to Brighton as an example, but for other stuff like Cardiff - Plymouth I put it in 'Activities - Activity' which becomes a folder for any mis-match scenario.

It would be nice to have a place for TS2017 routes, and be able to look in that place for scenario's for that specific route rather than searching them by TOC.

Anyone agree or disagree? I'd be interested to hear your views

Hi,

I think, from memory, that if you need a new category; that Peter P is able to set them up for you - maybe worth dropping him a quick PM with the categories that you'd like to use.

Back in the day; I think people could create their own categories; but that ended badly with for instance "Cannck Chase Branch" and "Cannock Chase Activity" both containing activities for the Cannock Chase Route; and for instance models appearing under "Class 60" and "UK Class 60 (Doughnut)".
