When you very well know that they never did but you don't care because you just wanted to run that particular train there, right?
Not the kind of constructive feedback that helps you make better scenarios, better AI, etc.

It's not a case of improvement needed, because you made something for yourself, for your own pleasure only, and thought it would be nice to share it with other who might also enjoy it. But if others are just being asses instead of helpful, then why bother.

--Tim
It's a rude and upsetting comment, but it's still feedback you can build on. Maybe your scenario description/in game alerts/whatever could be changed to make it clearer that your scenario it's not prototypical?

And if you've made something just for your own pleasure and not made it public proof before publishing then inevitably some people will misunderstand what you've provided.

Well in Steve's defence - several people have asked for some pictures so they can make their own judgement.

I do hope though that Steve has reported these issues to the JT support desk!

Cheers,

And my judgement is that some if it is unreasonable by way of expectations.

The lack of a ticket office? Doesn't bother me. A solitary private house missing? Again, not bothered. Maybe it bothers others though, it obviously bothers him.

But to repeatedly post them over and over again, it smacks of trying to show the developer up.

"show the developer up" good ! might make them think twice before releasing it without checking it. the assets are tedious.... more than me
Thought that was the idea of these forums, anyone can post comments good or bad just so happens that I have picked up some glaring mistakes.
I am the customer and lucky enough to have a good idea of the area they are covering, if you knew what a ferrari was like to drive but when you got it it drove like a mini you would not be happy. If you get house builder to build you a house in Red bricks and have of it is constructed with White you would have a lot to say

I have reported back to JT

Another poor / lazy scenario , Weather description "overcast" actual weather in game play - Blue sky, a bit milky in places but shadows for the whole 56 mins duration

Please just give the rest of us a break and wait for JT to get back to you - you'll not resolve any of your issues by just pumping out the same old vitriol here.

You'll find that it is the weather pattern at fault here, some of the original Kuju (i'd guess these are still being used) patterns aren't really what are described these days. If you happened to go into the scenario editor for that particular scenario, it would indeed be set to overcast.

Whether that defines the whole scenario as being poor and lazy, entirely up to you.

I see your well in front of me with your 11K plus comments to my mere 320

Well I am truly sorry for the upset I have created with my observations.
and I was not even through many of the scenarios either.
No, not resolve but give a heads up and perhaps some more constructive comments.

Not all bad, I do like some bits, and again if I come over as a whinging old train driver so be it.

When you say protected by a signal do you mean reasonably close to the crossing?? I know there is a signal but couldn't remember where.

On the train from Bristol to Trowbridge today I managed to have a look. Left Bradford and crossed the Level Crossing, and the signal was miles away, a good mile or so from the level crossing itself, so if it's like it in the sim then yes that is accurate

There should be a guard signal at the end of B.O.A Pt2 W186 UP Trowbridge for the UWG [user worked gated ] a foot crossing no barriers. good pics on a google search.

Harkeridge Jn is at the East down loop for Pewsey coming fromTrowbridge. the Westbury South Jn is at the Castle Cary end of Westbury Station for Salisbury at the crossovers.

research took 20 mins.Google.Track Maps. Western Sectional Appendix. Signal Number from Rail Cam Diagrames.

There are no Level Crossings in the B.O.A area. or any shown both on Track Maps or Western Sectional Appendix.but locals could offer better advice on that issue.
this is not a JT knocking post for the sake of it but rather it's a you can could do better guys. For the record at this time I dont have the route to compare or check but I hope this shows even a layman can find the info.

The difference being of course that TS is not real life.

Might not be but portrays real stations, scenery, engines, rolling stock, sounds. Thats the point isent it? replication of the real thing ? with the exception of the Mardonshire route.
Cold start a diesel loco and expect a near engine replication not a steam engine sound.
TSW is puts you in the driving seat with more realism
Each to there own

Steve

You are aware that there's a difference between "simulation" (which is what TS2017 is) and "replication" (which is what TS2017 is not)? I agree that the errant tree shouldn't have been missed but you could always dip into the editor and remove it in around ten seconds flat if it bothers you that much. If simulators such as TS2017 sought to replicate every house, weir, etc on a route, then DTG would likely still be working on the original Paddington to Oxford and other routes...

There are three variants of the WSR route available (one from JT), a route I know like the back of my hand. None of them are 100% "replicas" and it would be completely unreasonable for me to expect that. However, they are all, to varying degrees, more than adequate simulations of what's there in reality and if a particular omission really bothers me, I add it in myself and enjoy doing so.
