Where can I find an L3A TH6 signal?
Hi everyone does anybody know where I can find an L3A TH6 signal or which add on includes it? As I need it for a part of my route for entrance to a station.
If anybody knows where to get this signal can they tell me.
Cheers, Ian.

Re: Where can I find an L3A TH6 signal?
According to a quick search I have a Pro L3A TH6 C.bin file in a Pro Signal Posts folder in my RSC-GEML route which I'm sure is the London Liverpool St to Ipswich, is it not?

Ah my mistake I forgot to add the G to the signal title so if there is a G L3A TH6 could someone tell where there is one? Cheers, Ian.

The signals are a modular kit rather than being fully unique models, so this should work:
Copy, and rename accordingly, the supplied .bin file. Edit that .bin to point to the "post" that the other G variants use.
Save and you're done....other than testing of course.

Ok thanks, will I have to give it a unique name like class1987 G L3A TH6 or what? Also could you send a screenshot of the editing as not done this before, chears.

Re: Where can I find an L3A TH6 signal?
It'll obviously need it's own unique name so it displays in the available assets listing, but personally I wouldn't bother adding my name to it---just G Pro L3A TH6 C will do.
You'd actually be better off (now I've had chance to look at the available signals in GEML) using the G Pro L3A TH7 C.bin signal, just reduce the number of track links by 1 to make it into a '6' configuration (don't forget that all signals have 1 more link than their name suggests...Link 0, which is the link close to it to 'tell' it when a service has entered it's block)--that way you won't have to worry about jiggling the call-on indicator into position.
Have a bash at it; looking in the .bin file will be a good learning experience as you'll be able to see how it's really just a bunch of separate assets 'bolted together' and I'm sure you'll soon find you've created something like:

(excuse the 'posey' number---I couldn't resist)
If you get really stuck, that signal is at https://ln.sync.com/dl/dfa55eb00/awjzbm ... h-gr455ndq---just extract the contents of the .zip archive into your RailWorks directory--and is just the G Pro L3A TH7 C asset with the track links reduced from 8 to 7 (as outlined above) so you can compare with the default signal.

Re: Where can I find an L3A TH6 signal?
Ok thanks for the help I'll give it ago and look in the bin file in RWtools, do I need to click on clone for reskin blueprint or clone scenery for re skinning?
Re: Where can I find an L3A TH6 signal?
Right I've had ago at re skinning scenery and for the G_L3A_TH7_C to make the G_L3A_TH6_C signal, is this the line I need to alter? <NumberOfTrackLinks d:type="sUInt32">8</NumberOfTrackLinks>>
If not can you screenshot the text I need to alter.
Cheers, Ian.

Re: Where can I find an L3A TH6 signal?
Yeah, that's the one...just edit it to read 7 instead of 8 (Link 0 + 6 tracks)
That automatically drops the number of configuration boxes for the theatre down to 6 too, so you aren't left with an unused box.
Just about every signal is customisable in this way, so there's no need to have 'spare' track links on an unused bit of track, potentially causing issues.

Re: Where can I find an L3A TH6 signal?
Right I've done the editing in the .bin file as you said the only issue I'm getting now is it has become invisible in the game? Any suggestions on how this has happened?
P.s I have used the clone scenery for re skinning is that correct or should I have used the clone blueprint for re skinning?

Re: Where can I find an L3A TH6 signal?
No idea....I just make straight copies of things, no need to complicate the job by running some other routine. What have you reskinned on it by the way?
An existing instance in game could disappear after the edit because the game is confused by the fact that it has to load a 7 link signal, but according to the tracks.bin of the route being loaded it should have 8.
Does placing another instance of the signal work?
The edit shouldn't prevent it from being displayable; no paths or file names have been changed so the game can't get in a muddle because it's being told to look in the wrong places.

Re: Where can I find an L3A TH6 signal?
When you copy and paste bin files do you use the asset editor or do you just go into the main program files to do your? That might be the reason for my problem, just a thought. Can you tell me your path and I'll do the same see if that works then.
Re: Where can I find an L3A TH6 signal?
It's fine I've done it.
