Where has Keith Ross gone?

Post by JackRyan »

It's been a while since the West Coast Mainline Trent Valley. Is he up to something else? I can't find any information around here :(

The only place you'll find any news is on the Thomson Interactive site.
http://www.thomsoninteractive.com/

If he is working on a project it's unlikely you'll hear about it until it's almost ready for release. Steam releases via the Partner Programme are covered by an NDA during construction.
I do hope though that he's working on something because they're always the most astonishing landscape work I've seen in TS.

I've been wondering the same thing recently. WCML over Shap, WLOS and WCML North are 3 of my favourite routes.

There has been nothing on the Krossrails youtube page for 2 years now...

However, he never did used to announce much until it was almost ready for release anyway, so a period of quiet doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Hi

Isn't his latest route the Albula line, and the addon pack to it,I'm sure I saw sometime ago there was going to be another addon pack to the route,so maybe he is still working on it.

The Albula Line was a Thomson product, I doubt very much that Keith had anything to do with it. Anyway it's just wait and see I'm afraid.

As were WCML Trent Valley and the West Highland Line, and Keith was involved in both.

However, he wasn't mentioned in the manual for Albula, so you may well be right on this one.

I just love these threads.

How would anyone know if Keith had gone anywhere? Isn't it just possible that he's either not making content any more or is taking a break? Either way, no need to panic.

As you say, it may be, but who's to know? Neither the OP nor anyone following has expressed concerns so Why bother speculating, simply because a developer hasn't made anything publicly available for a while?

I hope he makes something else for TS, his work is the best, last I heard he was taking a break and then Trent Valley came along, He has a life outside TS so he deserves a break from all his hard, excellent work. If he makes more for TS that will be well received and if he has decided that's is it, then we have had some fantastic routes and I wish him well for the future.

Keith didn't come on here regularly anyway, he might even be on a TSW project for all we know, which obviously would be top secret, I hope so anyway as that is the type of quality content we desire for any British content in future in that version, so, let's keep our fingers crossed he's doing something new for the community.
