(New Route) Esk Valley Line

Post by RhysTrains »

I am attempting (and note attempting) to recreate the 35 mile stretch in between Middlesbrough and Whitby. I have the gradient profile for in between Middlesbrough and Battersby with a cab ride from Battersby to Whitby including speed restrictions, mile posts, gradients and platform lengths. If anyone has any tips for route building it would be greatly appreciated and I hope to get back to you all soon.

The Whitby Pickering Heritage route, aka NYMR, has track in place from Battersby Jct to Whitby Town but no scenery so far.

Regards, John.

Thanks John what might be a good idea is to possibly extend that route to Middlesbrough but what I was planning is to extend the DPS route from Middlesbrough or just totally create a new route.

Contact the route creator. No point in duplicating what has been done so far. I recall that he stated he isn't certain that he has the time or inclination to complete it all.

Regards, John.
