Hi Chaps
At long last I have just uploaded the activity depicted in Brian's documentation for his BLACK COUNTRY - LNWR route. I've opened this topic so any of you who experience any difficulties whilst running it, can report back.
My thanks to David Forrest for his help during the last few days.
Cheers
Eric

Re: WAL - Military Movement
Hi Eric
I hope that you are well.
Many thanks for the latest activity.
I am having trouble locating the following wagons -
6525 - PO_CC_1_2_3\CC10L_D1.wag ( PO_CC10 - Load_D1 )
PO_CC_1_2_3\CC11L.wag ( PO_CC11 - Load )
9257 & 9258
PO_WCML_3_4\WC10L_D1.wag ( PO_WC10L-Tamworth Coll_D1 )
PO_WCML_3_4\WC11L_D1.wag ( PO_WC11L-John Dickinson_D1 )
PO_WCML_3_4\WC12L_D1.wag ( PO_WC12L-Watford Coop_D1 )
PO_WCML_3_4\WC7L_D1.wag ( PO_WC07L-Griff_D1 )
PO_WCML_3_4\WC8L_D1.wag ( PO_WC08L-Haunchwood_D1 )
PO_WCML_3_4\WC9L_D1.wag ( PO_WC09L-Kingsbury_D1 )
The UKTS files above default to different folders and have different .wag names -
e.g 6525 installs to TRAINSET\CC PO3 , 9257 to WCML PO3 and 9258 to WCML PO4.
Any help with finding these would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

Re: WAL - Military Movement
Hi guys,
I'll just stick my bib in here for a moment.
Those wagons seem to be from the 'expanded' set of PO wagons from the LMS Rolling Stock CD.
I did state the situation in the Guidelines document - under Private Owner Stock - Wagons.
My original PO wagons comprised a set of 30 - the late Pat Dalton, took copies of them and expanded them to a set of 90, by having two renumbered versions of each in various states of dirtiness. The suffix D1 shown above is one of the dirtied wagons (not supplied in the UKTS downloads).
If you DO NOT have the LMS Rolling Stock CD, the original 30 PO wagons are named differently and will install in different folders, so you might have to make a few minor amendments to the Consists to work in this Activity.
The Activity as supplied, needs the LMS CD to work as intended.
Regards, Brian Bere-Streeter

Thanks Brian
Is this the London Midland Scottish add on by Blue Arrow / First Class Simulations?
If so, it is available on Ebay, so may be worth purchasing.

Hi Chaps
Apologies if you find things different from those quoted in my stock list. I ran through the list twice and believed I had correctly accounted for each wagon featured in the activity.
I'll have another check and get back to you. My tester for this activity didn't report any problems with finding stock.
Cheers

OK Chaps
It appears I have been confused by the verbiage used by Brian in his documentation for the route!
Under his heading PRIVATE OWNER STOCK - sub-section Wagons, he states:-
"There is an extremely wide variety of PO wagons available in the file libraries. However, we need to limit these to only those that would be seen on the lines covered by this route. Some years back, I released 3 packs of PO wagons specifically targeting the Cannock Chase area to go with Don's original Cannock Chase route - additionally, I released 2 packs of PO wagons from private operators along the southern end of the WCML to go with Dave Corfield's Thames-Mersey route. There is a total of 30 different wagons in these 5 packs, so this should be considered as the minimum starting point. The wagon packs are readily available for download from UKTS, and each wagon is presented in a relatively clean but in-service condition.
However, there is a far better alternative - when the late Pat Dalton was compiling the LMS Rolling Stock CD, I gave him permission to expand my PO wagons. Pat made 2 extra copies of each wagon, renumbered them and made one in lightly weathered condition and the second in a much dirtier condition - this expanded the total from 30 to 90 wagons. It is highly likely that users who want to run this route may already have the LMS Rolling Stock CD - if you don't it is a well worthwhile acquisition.
PLEASE NOTE : there is an installation difference between using the downloaded wagon packs, from those on the CD - they have different folder names and different wagon names, and so caution must be used when making suitable consists. The Consists that I provide with this route, are drawn from the expanded 90 wagons from the LMS CD."
Sorry chaps, I failed to recognise the importance of these paragraphs and will therefore withdraw the activity, re-design the stock used and eventually re-upload the activity that should be to everyone's satisfaction.
Cheers

Hi again Chaps
I have uploaded version 2 of this activity. The stock list ID's are:-
10632
10701
14639
14640
17439
20951
36123

This means that most of the wagons used in the Goods Consists are recent creations by Ian MacMillan. Many thanks Ian! I have retained the original Consist names, so you will need to overwrite where required.
Let's hope that that is the last of the problems with this activity.

NO, it was a CD compilation produced by the late Pat Dalton and was (is?) available from the UKTS CD listings.

I did look for it on the CD ordering page, but from your link I see it was withdrawn and presumably never replaced.
The activity is now well underway using replacement stock where needed and is proving most enjoyable.
Many thanks for back-dating the route, which looks excellent, and thanks to all for the glorious stock.
Eric - please don't keep apologising! Your activities are always appreciated, and, for me at least, getting all the required stock together is part of the enjoyment.
Thanks to all.
