I must be doing something wrong - but I don't know what?
Having got the AP Class 66 Enhancement Pack when I tried putting locos on the Test Track to give them a look the problems started happening.
Because I had the older sound pack the system had given a suffix to locos that used that pack.
The newer locos appeared when I placed them on the track but the older locos did not.
So I decided to remove Class66Pack02 & Class66Pack03 to another drive.
I then used the Steam Client to remove and reinstall fresh the two packs.
Back in to the Test Track and I could place the EWS and FL 66 locos on the track.
So I reinstalled the AP Class 66 Enhancement Pack & now I have NO Class 66 locos in the game.
When I select the Class66Pack02 & Class66Pack03 in the flyout the only locos on the list are the EWS & FL but even those will not appear on the track.
I seem to have made a pig of this but I'm not sure where I went wrong?

Re: Class 66 Enhancement Pack problem
Makes no sense to me Peter, the enhancement pack should work. Dumb question, did you clear the cache? If the problem persists I would contact AP on this problem. The manual says nothing about uninstalling the old sound pack, if possible at all. There is the extra stock download but that should not have any influence on the basic installation imo. Perhaps you should give that a try anyways. Just a few thoughts, Peter. If all fails contact AP. They should be able to help you. The pack worked fine for me.
Cheers,
Jos

Re: Class 66 Enhancement Pack problem
I got rid of the older locos as when I tried to place them in the game they did not appear on the track.
Now I only have 3 Class 66 locos, EWS, FLT and Bed-Pan but non appear on the track.

I always open the assets AP files then make them read & write.
Some times the automatic install doesn't work other wise in my experience.

Thanks - I just looked at that and made the folders read/write but they still can not be seen by either RW Tools or the game.rcetank wrote:I always open the assets AP files then make them read & write.

Peter
Have you tried a "manual install". That is extract the exe to a dummy folder and then merge the resultant "ASSETS" file created with the default?
Note the dates of the files in the extracted folder and you will see if they appear in the correct assets folder.
I have found that the installer doesn't always work so I do them manually now.

Re: Class 66 Enhancement Pack problem
I started this thread with "I must be doing something wrong - but I don't know what?"
Well with help from Richard A. the problem was solved.
I had downloaded the Main pack and the Branding pack but I did not realise there was an Extra Stock pack
So I now have a shed load of Sheds to keep my system running
Thanks to Darren, black8, rcetank & peterfhayes for the suggestions and to Richard for spotting my stupid mistake.

Re: Class 66 Enhancement Pack problem
I had decided to use one of the Class 66 locos in a scenario and I'm having a couple of problems.
The loco numbers although formatted correctly in the pop-out box do not appear on any loco apart from the un modified loco.
In the Cab the EM2000 display seems to be cycling thru different screens and the speed written on the bulkhead flickers between 65 & 75.
And I don't have sound from any of the locos. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Peter
EDIT - I did send Richard an email but the captur thingy on his page was playing up and I'm unsure if he got it.

Re: Class 66 Enhancement Pack problem
Ok. All working as they should be.
I had installed a few reskin packs off DPS but I must have does something wrong as they are throwing the workings off.
A clean install of the AP Enhancement pack solved the problem.
