VR Sale

Post by holzroller »

It seems that VR are currently offering a different add-on at a reduced price each week. Current offer is DB BR151 Expert-Line Orientrot / Sahimms 901 for euro 17.95 instead of euro 22.95. No idea how long this will last, or how long it has been running.

Bad news, Peter. It was on sale last week, I'm afraid...

Ok, thanks Jan.

It can wait for a Sale - I don't think I would drive it that much - just don't like the strange sound with the Railworks/German Railways version.

Should have posted about it here, sorry, Peter... :(

However the price reduction is quite small anyway approx. 23 to 18 in Euros. Think I bought it with a better discount during last year's May or June sale.

In my case, once I am logged on vR the price varies a little bit. Specifically € 18.25 instead of € 23.34.

It is because your government thinks people should pay more to support their beloved country. But no worries, I am in the same boat.

A 5 Euro discount in any currency is quite good in current times, unfortunately, there are a lot of weeks to wait for the locomotives I don't have, and we never know what is up for Sale from one week to the next.

Thanks for the heads up. I had noticed it on the left column over the past couple weeks but hadn't really been tracking it. Had been thinking I needed to visit every day but good to know they last a week. Anyone notice what day they change?

Not off hand, I would think you have to look at the website on Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday, which are probably the days the items are likely to be changed over.

Thanks for the heads up guys but I cannot find any special (week) offers on the vR website. Where do I look?
I have been on the vR site just recently checking out the E03 locomotive but did not see any special offers then either.

Thanks
Jos
'Why is it that the railway station is so far away from the village?'

You have to look thru each category for a discount
If you look thru Expert Line you find the DB 151 Orient Red Sahimms
Which is the only thing on sale

Not sure why they have a Sale but make the item(s) hard to find - a bit like Hunt the Easter Egg - apart from it's not Easter :-?

I did see a reference to the sale on the front page earlier this week. Now it's gone. Perhaps just a bug or something...

Ah, got it Peter, thanks. A bit strange it is that they make it so difficult to find the special offers. More so as there is indeed no reference on the site that there is such offer.
