Hello,
I have discovered that whenever a scenic asset, such as a lamp post or gorse bush has a Detail Level of '1' the item fails to appear in game. Change that to a '2' and save the changes and the item will now appear in game. So far I have discovered a world of previously invisible items in Western Mainlines and now Devon Rails.
So what's occuring here and why? I'm sure I have my settings up pretty high.
Happy Weekend,
Graham

Probably because you have your settings high.....the game is managing the resources and turning down/off asset visibility to conserve resources and prevent the game falling over. There are a few recent threads about this, see if any of those offer a viable solution.

Surely if your settings are set to the highest level you should be able to see all assets?
Only if the game has problems running smoothly do you then know to turn your settings down a bit. I don't like the idea that the game itself is deciding to drop out assets of its own accord to run smoothly without letting me know.
I would be very disappointed to find that, unknowingly, I wasn't seeing everything that was provided in a route that I had paid for!

Yes I'm quite surprised myself! I am surprised that a game that was built for now seemingly older technology would have the ability to help the game along if you'd set it up higher than your system was comfortable running. Something odd going on anyway so from past experiences I wouldn't rule anything out.
More homework required methinks and looking at some previous problem posts.

Yes, very surprising and, not a little, unsettling. I've always assumed, as a player, that I was in more or less complete control
of the graphics level.
If that is not the case, then surely all scenarios would run without my intervention in the settings menu.
Or have I misunderstood your post gptech?
