These two routes,China Clay and West Highland are the routes I don't have but I have the four scenarios and quick drive all loaded and available. I have completed all the scenarios with no problem apart from having some scenery items missing and used the quick drive OK.Not sure why you are having a problem.

Well, when the scenario appears on the screen, there is a warning message saying please wait until the majority of the scenery is loaded before deleting this message. So I do...but as soon as I click on the "x" to remove the message, my computer crashes !

Derek
That sounds like it's more of an informational message put in by the author, not a system generated one. Accordingly, no matter how good your PC is you'll see that message. The crash may be down to a glitch in the route, scenario, or stock used so what happens if you try to drive with the message still on screen? (it should eventually disappear, all other dialogue boxes do)

I even tried unsubscribing, deleting the route And re-subscribing to download it again to no avail, getting to the point where I will give it up as a bad job.

What was the last loco you drove in QD?

I've had this on my computer, which normally handles TS with no problems. There are a few scenarios that hit some kind of graphical limit and the only way to make it work is to reduce the amount of graphics the game has to handle by lowering the quality. There's a RosGar scenario for the S&D that behaves exactly as you describe and the only way to make it start up is to drop the graphics well down. There's also a Class 52 scenario for Bristol to Exeter that does this to a lesser extent. It will load and look as if you're OK but start using the mouse and it crashes. Again, lowering the graphics setting cures the problem.

Hi RockDoc

Thanks for the info. My suspicions were confirmed then. Its a shame that one has to trade off graphics quality, so I might just delete this scenario and hope that some kind knowledgeable people come along and create some more scenarios that are SLIGHTLY less graphic intensive.

Thanks again mate !

I have tried various diesel locos the last being a class 47, as I realise that if a route is not classed as electrified it won't show up in QD if a electric loco is selected so that is not the issue here.

Doesn't make any difference what consist I choose diesel or steam the route doesn't appear in quick drive menu, I had a look in the build/scenarios menu and it shows a QD scenario so why it doesn't show in the Quick drive menu I don't know?

I was thinking if there was a fault with the QD Scenario then it might not appear so check it with RW Tools.
If it says it's OK you open the Quick Drive Scenario in RW Tools then clone it and see if that makes it appear?

I don't have the route so I cannot try it myself

The Quickdrive scenario doesn't show up in my installation either, although all the files are installed.

Unfortunately, Peter, Quick Drive scenarios cannot be opened for editing in RW Tools. I've opened the scenario in the Train Simulator editor and can run it from there with a Class 47 that appears to be the default.

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

If you start the QD, then save it and close, you have a new scenario in your list (with a new ID). That can be changed in RWTools to a standard one, containing your player train and all the AI generated for the scenario.

But . . . I can't start the Quick Drive except from the editor, which doesn't give me a choice of which train to drive, and there was no AI.

I can confirm that too, the Quick Drive can only be entered via the Build/Scenario edit menu and all there is a consist of Class 47 with Mk 1s as the player train and no AI as traffic.

The Quick Drive scenario can be cloned via the Build/scenario menu which give you a copy of exactly the same thing so doesn't solve anything, what needs to be found out is why the quick drive is not showing up in the quick drive menu of TS2017 so if anyone has any idea on how to sort that out that would be extremely helpful, thanks.
