Spain: Linea 400 ADIF

Post by JohnM1945 »

After a quiet few months, Railsim.es offers us a new route, which runs from Alcazar de San Juan (south of Madrid, in La Mancha, you'll recall) southwards across Don Quixote's stamping ground and then over the Sierra Morena to Linares in Andalusia, east of Cordoba and north of Granada (but I didn't need to remind you of that, did I?).

The route is modern in period, seems well-made, and will bring some Mediterranean warmth into a cold, rainy Christmas. There are two Free-roam scenarios, each with a variety of motive power, based on either end of the route.

It can be found at http://www.railsim.es/index_login.php.

What's not to like?

Kind regards, a Happy Christmas, and a Guid Hogmanay to you all!

If you download the main route from FerroSim it says it's a "application/octet-stream" and it does not save as anything.

Thanks

I did not need to do that - I just downloaded the file from RailSim.es without problem

Having installed this route I seem to be missing some of the signals in the \RailWorks\Assets\camber\Addon\RailNetwork\Signals\ folder

LUMINOSA_3_FOCOS_1V.bin
LUMINOSA_REBASE_4_FOCOS_10V.bin
LUMINOSA_REBASE_4_FOCOS_18V.bin
LUMINOSA_REBASE_4_FOCOS_7V.bin
LUMINOSA_REBASE_4_FOCOS_8V.bin
LUMINOSA_REBASE_4_FOCOS_9V.bin
MONO_2_FOCOS_7V.bin
MONO_2_FOCOS_8V.bin
MONO_4_FOCOS_12V.bin
MONO_4_FOCOS_5V.bin
MONO_4_FOCOS_6V.bin
MONO_4_FOCOS_8V.bin
PROXIMIDAD1.bin
PROXIMIDAD2.bin
PROXIMIDAD3.bin

I downloaded the required assets but these don't seem to be amongst them

Also the Adjustment of route markers is a DSCV file - in which folder does it live?

Thanks

Peter,

I quote from the Ferrosim website...
You must unzip and overwrite the existing file in the following folder: Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ railworks \ Assets \ RS_Spain \ Despenaperros \ RouteMarkers
Happy Christmas!

I've not applied this patch yet but a run over the line was very good apart from some of the stations at the northern end not loading/unloading passengers.
