Matthew, could you post the answers to the clues, or are they on the VP site?

They are going out on the Facebook page after the link for the release, but I'll post them in here just now.

This year at Vulcan Productions, we wanted to give our fans something really rather special for Christmas, as a way of saying a huge thank you to the support you've given us

For the last 10 days we've been dropping hints and clues as to what our special Christmas Eve release will be, and we're delighted that we can finally make D345 available for you to download.

But how did D345 fit in with all the clues? Below is a full list of all the clues, as well as the explanations that go with them:

#1 - 1 of 3 but also 1 of 1:
D345 is one of the three Class 40s under the ownership of the Class 40 Preservation Society, but she is the only preserved Class 40 that is mainline registered.
#2 - XH558
The registration of the previously airworthy Avro Vulcan, a name shared by the Vulcan Foundry in Newton-le-Willows, where D345 was built.
#3 - Kevin Bacon
An actor who is currently the advertising face for mobile phone service provider EE. EE also standing for English Electric, who provided the power units for Class 40s.
#4 - Myopia
An eye condition more commonly known as Short Sightedness. The opposite of this, Hypermetropia is known as Long Sightedness. Longsight Depot was where 40145 was allocated prior to withdrawal from BR service in 1983.
#5 - A55
The North Wales Coast Expressway - A road famous for running alongside the North Wales Coast line, a common stomping ground Class 40s in their final passenger days under BR.
#6 - First of the Last
D345 was the first locomotive of the final 54 locomotives, built with the centre headcode panel.
#7 - Wheels Equals Cylinders
Class 40s are fitted with an English Electric 16SVT MkII power unit. 16 being the number of cylinders the power unit has. Class 40s also sport a rather large pair of bogies - the amount of wheels totalling 16.
#8 - When is a 4 not a 4?
In her earlier days of preservation, D345 was repainted into Large Logo livery, complete with Eastfield Depot terrier stickers, mock ETH equipment on the bufferbeam, and renumbered as 40445 - meaning she was sporting a /4 number when there was never actually a 40/4 variant.
#9 - Roger Whittaker
A folk singer who is famously know for whistling. Class 40s are, amongst others, nicknamed Whistlers.
#10 - "Once I caught a fish alive..."
1, 2, (D)3 - 4 - 5...

We hope you enjoyed the clues as much as we did thinking of them, and when the link follows we sincerely hope you all enjoy the Class 40 with all of her lovely child objects that youyrs truly embelished her with.

Merry Christmas from myself and everyone at Vulcan Productions.

Class 40 D345 is now available to download at our diesel download page.

The dependent DLC of Railright's superb 40145 from the Steam Store currently attracts a 50% discount

All that's left is to say that's it for 2016, with the exception of a two part scenario for D345 which shall shortly go live soon. Thanks for following the progress of our 12 extravaganza, at various times it didn't seem like we would manage it (specifically at 4:30 this morning when child objects, manual and installers were all outstanding) but it's been a challenge and a privilege.

Thanks very much, we would like to wish all of our followers a very prosperous 2017. We are glad so many of you enjoyed the bonus content, we are working on vastly expanding the final piece, D345, to include 3 liveries and some Mk1 carriage reskins too.
