John.
John if you download this file all your 'missing' (with the exception of the track rules) are in there now.

I'd say that's not an issue with the route, but because the scenario uses one of the handful of weather/time of day patterns that one of the earlier upgrades to the base game *broke*.

Simply edit the scenario with RW Tools or the games Scenario Editor to use a different weather pattern.

Have you any lighting enhancements installed?
OK, read the thread but the inclusion of the word 'Fog' is relevant to my understanding!
So, in laymans terms, how do I get rid of these 'Northern Lights'?! I have changed all the Skies/Weather lines in the RouteProperties.xml from a similar file where the view was acceptable for a time setting of 2300 without any change.

The settings in RouteProperties are only the defaults which a new scenario will use until the author changes things. Scenarios can use any weather/sky/time of day combination, so it's the scenarios you need to edit.

OK, I now have two scenarios both with the same Weather:-
<WeatherBlueprint>
<iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID>
<BlueprintSetID>
<iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID>
<Provider d:type="cDeltaString">Kuju</Provider>
<Product d:type="cDeltaString">RailSimulatorCore</Product>
</iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID>
</BlueprintSetID>
<BlueprintID d:type="cDeltaString">Weather\RW_Cloudy.xml</BlueprintID>
</iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID>
</WeatherBlueprint>

Set at 2300 one displays the sky as my image above and one displays a nice night sky tinged with dark blue on the horizon?

Trav,

Thanks very much for adding the missing files.

Sorry about this but I just found another two:

\Assets\SteelIXB\signals\UK AWS Ramp AlwaysWarn.bin
\Assets\sunshinerene\sunshinerenezusatz\cars\tntvannolight\tntvannolight.bin

Trav, the additional scenery assets archive appears to be broken, being only 4KB or so instead of 20+ MB.

It worked okay for me.

Thanks very much for such a quick reaction to providing the missing files. Much appreciated.

One minor thing. In the latest upload \sunshinerenezusatz\cars\tntvannolight\tntvannolight.bin goes straight into the Assets folder, whereas it should go into the \Assets\sunshinerene\ folder.

Yep...has now downloaded properly here.

Going by the paths in the .bin, it should live in a folder called ..\Assets\sunshinerenezusatz (zusatz being 'addition') which is how it's packaged in the working version I've just downloaded.

Just created 4 scenarios using that weather and time---one for each season. All 4 give the red sky.

Just use the more up to date 3D versions, remember the RW_ ones are TS2012 vintage.

If I add it to the Assets folder as it is in the latest additional scenery file, i.e. in \Assets\sunshinerenezusatz\cars\tntvannolight\tntvannolight.bin, RW_Tools still lists it as missing as \Assets\sunshinerene\sunshinerenezusatz\cars\tntvannolight\tntvannolight.bin

I moved the \sunshinerenezusatz\ folder inside the \sunshinerene\ folder and it's no longer listed as missing.

Whoops.. :oops:

I misread the .bin file......

It does call for the .GeoPcDx file from ..\Assets\sunshinerene\sunshinerenezusatz\cars\tntvannolight

so either Trav has a duplicated sunshinerenezusatz folder on his system and just grabbed that, or has dropped it in the package a directory too high. Either way, not a huge problem.

One thing though for future reference...

Once RW Tools finds a .bin file in the place it's told it'll be you don't see it as a missing object. But, if that .bin file points elsewhere for the .GeoPcDx nothing may appear in game. So, if ..\Assets\sunshinerenezusatz\cars\tntvannolight was the right place for the .Geo but the .bin was duplicated at ..\Assets\sunshinerene\sunshinerenezusatz\cars\tntvannolight nothing would show unless that .GeoPcDx was where the .bin tells the game it will/should be. A *clean* missing assets report from RW Tools is not a guarantee that you'll be able to see the assets.
