You can access the World Editor in a couple of ways. When you start TS2017 select the option Build, select your route then click the edit button. Alternatively if you press <Esc> during a scenario and World Editor is one of the options you are presented with.
If you are going 'play around' with a route I would strongly recommend backing it up first by copying the route folder somewhere else, don't use Clone as it loses the route origin co-ordinates. Also use the windowed version(accessed from settings on the TS2017 screen) other wise you cannot crash out if it goes horribly wrong which happened to me several times when I started.
If you thinking of creating your own route I suggest you browse this forum as there are many helpful tutorials. If you do this use <F2> regularly to save your work, TS2017 has a habit of crashing during route editing more often than TS2016 did.
Regarding purchasing things from Steam, generally they install themselves, you will see a down loading bar at the bottom of the Steam window. If it is down loaded as a zip file you need to unzip the file, 7-Zip is free and many bits of DLC are zipped with that. You then need to use TS Utilities which comes with TS2017. Again browse this forum.
I do have another question, I downloaded the Class 47 reskin pack from DP and followed the install instructions. However. when ingame i have to make sure to tick Kuju in the content authors but I don't know what it means nor how to do it.
Hi John,
the boxes you need to tick are known as the Provider/Product pairing. This is effectively a filtering system so that when in the scenario editor your list of available rolling stock isn't that big that it's unmanageable.
You'd tick these boxes to enable the reskins to be usable in a new scenario so you'd need to be in the scenario editor, but if you've installed the reskins in order to play an existing one the pairing will already be selected.
You'll find that for most routes/scenarios the Kuju/RailSimulator Provider/Product pairing boxes are already ticked
