91/MK4 DVT - can't get it to move!

Post by qaaya3 »

I've had fun with the AP class 91 pack going up the ECML. Trying to get back down again is proving to be an issue though! I'm in the Mk4 DVT and I can't get the train to move!

Reverser forward
Train Brakes off
Parking brake disengaged
DRA disengaged
Pantoghraph up
I have all the yellow lights on on the control panel and when I put the throttle back for power it says 'tractive braking effort' light comes on. Kinda like the 91 except I can't get the train to move. I have also tried:
Making sure the 91 itself has the master key on
All reverser positions in the 91
Checking DRA is off in the 91
Parking brake off in the 91

Please can anyone help?

I'm having exactly the same problem, only in the DVT. The IC Swallow set is fine, but the others won't move. I was going to set up a test free roam with all the liveries to check, but having seen this post I thought I'd chime in.

I've been driving the DVT quite a bit but all of a sudden the VTEC DVT suddenly fails to move.
Will restart and see if it's just an occasional blip.

Well, I can get it to move in different scenarios but in one of my homemade scenarios it refuses to budge.

Interesting, I was using Quick Drive. I'll try it in a scenario proper.

Having the Class 91 on is not going to help. Why it won't move: not sure (don't have it). It could be brakes (check gauges)? Could somebody make a video showing what you do?

So if you don't have to test, how can you be so sure that having it on won't help?
