Steam Account Possibly Stolen

I am very fortunate and lucky to say I have never had this happen to me and I think most people are the same, which makes me slightly curious as to why it happens, what does the person who steals the account hope to achieve and why they target some people and not others?

Many reasons i believe. Attempts for me, for others to login. Most likely were due to players i played against on Counter Strike: Global Offensive. For either the skins or for a 'clean' account. That can be used for cheating straight away until Vac bans happen.

Or due to the other games on account etc. Other reason just for 'fun' and to cause annoyance and stress for the person who owns the account.

I must admit it was weird that no damage or theft from my account or extra purchases. Didn't check my trading cards as I've never paid any attention to those. And in my case none of the games even seemed to have been played either! Maybe I had nothing of interest to them, but it also left me with the feeling that they may have done it just because they could! It's never ever happened to me before and I thought it probably never would - just goes to show where complacency can get you!
