Hope you folks enjoy driving these locos, super fun to test as the locos are especially powerful and rather fun to do silly amounts of consist load behind them(like take 900tons up Shap without banker abeit you probably hit 0.2mph by 3/4 way up mark).

Also if your wondering why your regulator is stuck at 10% on the HUD and you can't drop it to zero, the loco is in 2nd valve and you need to open to full and drop back to 0% to come out of it, its in the manual but I suspect it might come up as a "bug" when its a feature ;)

Have fun!

I had 2 emails the same arrive, 2 minutes between them.
I ran one of them to download, but the install seems to be totally wrong, the 7200 shows in the loco fly-out in game but not the 4200. In the windows 086 folder the folder for steamsounds supreme has the files of the 42xx and the 72xx is in the correct assets folder in railworks , no folder under victoryworks for the 4200

Did I run the wrong installer as it seems odd that I got two emails at the same time, bit of a mess here at the moment.

That is strange we tested the Installer very thoroughly, I have just downloaded the packs and all seems to be working correctly and installing into the Victory Works folder.

Which one did you install, as the 72XX is dependant on the 42XX. Also, strange that you say that the SteamSoundsSupreme folder is in your Program Files (86), as it should be in the Local Disk (C:), I believe.

I would suggest that you try running the SSS Installer again and select "Remove" and then try installing again.

Just so everyone is aware, you will find that the 72XX installs inside the Victory Works GWR 42XX folder (as it shares files).

I have just copied all the files from

C:\Program Files (x86)\SteamSoundsSupreme\VWorksGWR42005205 2-8-0TPack --- asset folder and manuals etc to the railworks install, seems to be fine now.

This is where the above they were installed just for the 42/52 the 7200 was installed correctly.
Also tried a change of path in the installer to railworks default, this did not make any difference.

Anyway all ok now seems a bit strange why it happened though.

Can't really explain what happened, unless you inadvertently altered the Railworks 'Path' when using the SSS Installer, but glad you are now sorted out.

Seems odd that it was only effecting the 42/52, but as I said it did show on the installer that it found the correct path. But also entered the path in the custom install path and that did not make any difference.
But all fine now, will have to be carefull if/when an update is needed :-)

Great locos as usual

Thanks for the hint where I can find the 42xx installation anthonye. It looks like the 42xx installer works not correct. The path he shows is fine but he do not install the files there. The 72xx installer works fine for me too.

I do not like an installation process with a lot of menus and which needs / blocks a lot of space on my hard drives. Is there a good reason for this complicated way?

Apologies anthonye, I've just re-downloaded and run the SSS 42XX installer again and it does in fact now install to where you state.

I have dropped Matt an e-mail and hopefully he will address the problem asap.

Great as long as you know, anyone with the problem do as I did and copy the folders across

Thanks

I've just received another email. Is this the updated version with the correct installer?

It says v1.1.

Version 1.1 now released (updated) for the 42XX, which I have tried and works fine for me.

Enjoy driving the 42XX (and 72XX if you have purchased it) and I strongly suggest that you read the Manuals.

These are fantastic Loco's that have been modelled with loads of 'extra' features and added realism, the Scenarios are absorbing and challenging. Look out for the supplied Guards Van 'special' feature (useful on the Maerdy Scenarios) and listen out for the new signal "Tabbing" feature, there are loads more for you to read about and try.

Good job its the weekend.
