Can anyone shine some light?
Since the last windows 10 update, steam extracts an update to my desktop. It appears that it's reinstalling ts2017. I had previously received the update.
How can I get the update to extract the files to the appropriate folders?

That's a curly one. I have Windows 10 Anniversary update and don't have any issues. Do you have Steam and TS in the same directory and on the same drive ? If you right click on your TS2017 icon on your desktop and select properties, where does it say Railworks is. It should say the drive and directory's.
