I use free download manager for 99% of my downloads. http://free-download-manager.en.softonic.com/ it can download from multiple servers at once, speeding up the download quite considerably. Also has a resume function.

Hi, they have used up their allowance for downloads through the browser - it says try again next month! Torrent seems to have some left though.

The fact of the matter is that to update the route takes me at least 2-3 hours just in terms of packing it up,sorting the website and then uploading various files.

The fixes to be taken care of are:
Scenario faults
Readme confusion
General minor route errors.
Other misc' messages we have received.

Both myself and Tom (the dev) have full time work (and he also has a one year old son) commitments and we spent until midnight Sunday into Monday trying to fix the route so that there wasn't an RWP that didn't work.

Sorry to be challenging but I don't take these matters sitting down, yep I accept there's problems, but it's only on UKTS where I find such impatience towards some of them, and this is a minority of course.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all those who've downloaded, and PARTICULARLY those who have expressed concerns and are giving us a chance to fix them.

If you don't tell us there's a problem we can't fix it!
I hope you didnt find my posts on here and FB impatient... A poster on this very thread will vouch how enthusiastic I was around this route last night whilst discussing something else in a PM. If I did come across like that apologies, but just wanted to make you aware of the odd issues I was having.

However, nothing to stop me running the route and like I said I had been following the route for some years on FB and simply put it is one of the best free routes out there, so thank you very much.

So, thank you VERY much for a great route and I hope others create scenarios for the route to keep the interest going. (By the way, FIFA17 is rubbish, dont bother  )

I'm going to message Jim and see if I can get permission to distribute the TPR assets with the route, with any luck he will accept.

Nah Brian it's nothing you or anyone who makes their point constructively or at least polite has done, some emails we have got mainly reflect how rude some of the community are,but that's life,I always give back what I get,so If you're polite you'll get a swift and polite reply.

Let's also remember that the route is freeware, everything has come together from well over a thousand man hours between us all,if this were payware and we had these issues then I'd agree it wouldn't be acceptable.

I had a wee run from Preston to Blackpool and back and thoroughly enjoyed it, nicely detailed and runs smoothly on my system. I had the Freeware Packs from the Glasgow Suburban Route already installed so it was a lot less installing. It has a lot of promise and look forwards to the improvements.

Thanks (on behalf of Tom no doubt too,as it's his hard work that got the route done) :)

Further info,I've been given permission to upload the TPR Asset Pack to the VP website (thanks Jim!) so I shall see to this for the next update which I'm working on with Tom.

Apologies for the delay,it's got far more popular than intended :)

Downloaded - what an incredible piece of work! Now we see what we might have had with the Trans - Pennine Route?
A big thank you for this route - the Ribble Railway is wonderful - a rare bit of Street running in the UK. You can
almost smell the Burgers and Candy Floss and hear the famous Organ once you get sight of the Blackpool Tower!
Thanks a million guys!

Hi

Am I correct in assuming that you are working on a new update, (which will include the TPR assets), and that you hope to release this in the immediate future ? Or is this for a longer term update, some time ahead of now ?

Thanks

The TPR assets pack will definitely (unless something goes wrong on my internet) be uploaded to the VP site tomorrow.

The update is now taking in some further fixes and as I'm at the NYMR On Friday a railtour on Sat and NYMR again on Sunday I'm doubtful it'll be done before the weekend, and I don't want to release more than one for obvious reasons.

So if no main route update appears before the weekend then expect it early next week, needless to say it'll be done ASAP.

Excuses, excuses, excuses..... never heard of a laptop and wireless??

Once again though Mark, take as long as it needs--we're all running the route with only minor issues so a few days ain't gonna make a difference.

I will look forward to more "goodies" in due course! As a Hull lad (now in exile!) the Hull end of the route being worked on
a couple of years ago looked really good! The original SSE route would be good!
Best wishes
