is this a case of no AWS ramps, or one of no AWS sound?Timex wrote:I've just re-installed, no AWS on colour light signals.
There are / where numerous lines controlled by semaphores where the distant semaphore signals are fitted with AWS ramps (either of the controlled or permanent variety) .almark wrote:Colour light signals should have them but the semaphores as per real life do not.

I'm pretty sure "as per real life" all signals bar shunting signals are fitted with AWS. Certainly main line, all semaphores should have AWS.Timex wrote:I've just re-installed, no AWS on colour light signals.almark wrote:Colour light signals should have them but the semaphores as per real life do not.

No AWS ramps or AWS audible warnings on colour light signals.gptech wrote:is this a case of no AWS ramps, or one of no AWS sound?Timex wrote:I've just re-installed, no AWS on colour light signals.
I've sussed it, there are no AWS ramps on the approach and including Preston station, of what I can see - just outside they start appearing again.Timex wrote:No AWS ramps or AWS audible warnings on colour light signals.gptech wrote:is this a case of no AWS ramps, or one of no AWS sound?Timex wrote:I've just re-installed, no AWS on colour light signals.
A speed restriction AWS ramp worked though.
Has anyone read the above, this route is in progress, patience is a virtue of which many do not possess.almark wrote:Sadly not,I've had a bad time recently and not had motivation to do non contracted work, once I've finished with what I have to do. Sorry guys.
So for a 1,000 yards or so there are no AWS ramps?----that's a bit different from your initial observation that there were none at all.Timex wrote:there are no AWS ramps on the approach and including Preston station
They were none passed Poulton on my initial install.gptech wrote:So for a 1,000 yards or so there are no AWS ramps?----that's a bit different from your initial observation that there were none at all.Timex wrote:there are no AWS ramps on the approach and including Preston station
