I'd still wish that DTG would just apply that patch to the standard Riviera 50's route! I suppose that it doesn't do any harm if you apply that patch and do not have the Saint w/TPO installed?

Does no harm at all.. but without the TPO, there's really no point in it
All it does is allow those locos to pull the TPO and make it work with correctly set up line side apparatus. The TPO coach can go anywhere in the consist incidentally, so you can put any stock in between the TPO and loco and it still works although in practice it was usually near the front and definitely in front of regular passenger coaches for safety reasons.

Thanks, it's been a long road to get to release but we're very pleased it's out. I've just put the BR re-skins into testing and hopefully they will be considerably quicker to get to the Marketplace.

I got the Saint today, as usual great. When the BR skins are uploaded to the Marketplace, could you post here to let us know.

Sorry I'm a bit confused here.
I don't see anything in the loco numbering where you can have a screw reverser instead of the lever. I see it was mentioned in the blog a couple of months ago showing a screw or a lever.

Just a quick thanks for this one Pete. Only managed half an hour - hour at this point. But wanted to say, excellent job on this one. Another, amazing product like your back catalogue, love the attention to all the details that make this a very immersive drive. It's very difficult to see at night which makes it another challenge all together - ok, I cheated and left fire doors open haha. Models and the whole package is excellent. Maybe, a nice oil lamp sat on the tender to aid in cab visibility at night, would have been nice, but that is first world problems.

Got this(brilliant i must say)but it seems that the standard scenarios and the Loco itself are missing from the Menu.I have unpacked the .ap files,and extracted the .ap assets files but to no avail.It does however show up in the Quick drive menu!Am at a bit of a loss here as i am sure i have done all i can to remedy the missing scenarios and Loco.

Pete et al,

I've fitted TPO apparatus on the Cambs/ECML line - and the first set work beautifully - but the gear doesn't then retract again and stays deployed for the rest of the journey (also not picking up at subsequent TPO sites). I've set them up as per the instructions - and then played around a little with finessing the exact location of Link2 and 3 to see if that makes any difference - but no joy so far. Any additional tips I can try please? I've tested using both the Saint and a modified A1 (Pete - the instructions for modding other locos are simple and easy to apply).

PS - Pete - I've got the 'Illustrated History of the Travelling Post Office' by Peter Johnson - in it he says that the warning board was placed 250 feet in advance of the apparatus - you recommend 200 yards - is this a regional difference or is one of the two a mis-transcription of feet to yards or vv.?

I can't think of anything that would cause it to collect properly but then not retract. If you've used the Saint then it's not a loco problem so that might point to an issue with track links getting mixed up. Are they intersecting with signals or anything else that's track linked in the location you've chosen?
The GWR book I have states 200 yards so I guess it's a regional difference. In truth I'm not sure the boards were used that much, TPO crews knew exactly where they were based on locations along the track, much as footplate crews did.

Thanks anyway. One thing I've spotted that may be a factor is a diverging junction between mu link0 and the rest - I'll test it out tomorrow to see if moving the first link tidies things up. The test case I'm using actually has link0 well before a station (and diverging junction) and then link1 at the outer end of the platform so either might be causing the system to get confused.
