Re: Just Trains V2
Further to the blacked out windows of the Gresley coaches in the 'Progres, what progress?' scenario, I just received a response from Just Trains that these coaches do not have a passenger outside view and are therefore 'blacked out'.
Anyway, just to let you know that this is no bug that will be corrected but is as intended by JT. No passenger outside view in these (Matrix) coaches is a bit strange imo but who knows JT will decide to add this in some future update.
'Why is it that the railway station is so far away from the village?'
The local pauses for a while, then replies:
'They thought it would be a good idea to build it next to the railway line.....'

Re: Just Trains V2
There must have been a misunderstanding somewhere along the line because the windows are definitely not deliberately blacked out, and it is a bug that will be fixed in due course. Very sorry for the confusion.black8 wrote:Further to the blacked out windows of the Gresley coaches in the 'Progres, what progress?' scenario, I just received a response from Just Trains that these coaches do not have a passenger outside view and are therefore 'blacked out'.Anyway, just to let you know that this is no bug that will be corrected but is as intended by JT. That is what I expected Chris, but this is the answer that I got from JT:ChrisBarnes wrote:There must have been a misunderstanding somewhere along the line because the windows are definitely not deliberately blacked out, and it is a bug that will be fixed in due course. Kind regards,

"These coaches do not include a passenger view so you will not be able to see out I'm afraid".
No indication whatsoever that it is a bug that will be fixed but I am glad that it will be.
Best regards, Jos

No isssues for me either,I'd suggest loading into scenario editor, changing something (such as moving the scenario icon slightly) and resaving, that should fix, though I must reiterate this isn't a bug with the V2,it's a TS bug that for some reason I have also noticed on other addons recently.

Hi Guys,
I have tried the carriages mentioned in a free roam with a different loco and still had the same blacked out windows. I have sent a detailed message to Just trains and this is the total message sent."These coaches do not include a passenger view so it is not surprising". Seems to be some crossed wires at JT. Hopefully Chris may figure this out.

Yes Phil, I had a similar response from JT (see my recent posts). Fortunately Chris Barnes has since sent a clearer message.bigphill2 wrote:Hi Guys,

Re: Just Trains V2
Just realised that I didn't get the V2...
It came out just as I boxed up the PC for a house move, then had no internet, no computer, loads of boxes everywhere for 6ish months...!
Is the V2 worth a punt? Presumably its on a par with the 4, 5, 7MT etc???

Hi rkk01,
I just got the V2 as an early X-Mas present from the War Department and can say I'm delighted with it. It's a large pack with many LNER and BR liveries, Matrix Trains teaks, 14 scenarios (if you have the routes, of course) Mk1s in many liveries. Also included are the 4, 5 and A4 as AI only. Check this vid by GWR KING...

Well worth it just to see Green Arrow on the rails, if only on our PCs.

Re: Just Trains V2
If you want to experience the V2 at its best, try hauling a 50 wagon fitted freight over the Port Road. It might not be a prototypical route, but boy can this engine slog away on long gradients

Probably the most immersive TS steam experience to date.

Re: Just Trains V2
Hi Has the Front coupler been fixed on the V2 especially Green Arrow,as this has been a problem since it's release, also do the sanders work on this loco
Ok Thanks

Re: Just Trains V2
I could not get the front coupler to engage after repeated attempts, though I could make a consist with stock coupled to the front. Sort of like the 57xx Riviera in the 50s issue.
I did get the sanders to function, but I had to do it from inside the cab. There's a lever right against the left cab wall for backwards sanding and a valve on the backhead for steam sanding. The cylinder cocks also had to be worked from inside the cab.
