Workshop Scenarios??

Post by ImCanadian »

I want to know if anyone else here in this forum still have the problem with Workshop Scenarios as I do. My workshop scenarios are still grayed out and I have sent a support ticket to inform them that my workshop scenarios are still not working after the upgrade version of 57.3b in my program of Train Simulator 2016. Lynn from DoveTail Support explained to me in her e-mail below:

1. In your Steam Client
2. Right Click on Train Simulator
3. Left Click on Properties
4. Left Click on Local Files
5. Left Click on Verify Integrity of Game Cache

This routine does not require you to launch the game.

Many problems with installation and initialization may be resolved by File verification and verifying the integrity of the game cache or a combination of both.

Please verify your game files to ensure everything has been installed correctly.
The following is a web link with complete step by step instructions on what to do to begin the process:

And I did this four times throughout the day and still the same. Yes I did unsubscribe all of my workshop scenarios that I had before then run " Verify Integrity of Game Cache. " Any suggestion beside this fix will solve the workshop scenarios not showing in grayed out in my program of Train Simulator 2016.

I already sent Lynn an e-mail to tell her about my frustrations with this after ran through " Verify Integrity of Game Cache."

Let me know about this to solve another way to fix the problem of workshop scenarios grayed out.

Appears to have been an ongoing issue for a while now and discussed in this thread John

I had this problem John along with difficulty in getting the game started. Even though the upgrade appears to have resolved the Workshop issue, I still get loading problems. I sort it by getting rid of any .bak files prior to to loading & it seems to work. I use a small utility tool called "Junk Removal Tool" - this seems to do the trick each time I get a loading problem. Hope this helps a bit & may go some way to resolving your issues

Does not " Verify Integrity of Game Cache" have the effect of returning any mods to locos and stock to default condition?

Indeed it does, but I suspect anybody with mods will be aware of this. If not and they follow this advise they soon will be. Standard DTG response IIRC, although they have generally been a little more helpfull recently. Presumably the OP has no mods/sound packs etc. Think it would take me a couple of weeks to re-install everything after a verify, keep a clean up to date copy instead.
