As soon as I saw Kings Cross 'Top Shed' I knew this was going to be good, and I'm not disappointed.......
Not been across the whole route yet, Neil. but, this is brilliant, thank you for carrying this on from v1 and getting it all the way down to London, now we can run Kings X to Cambridge and beyond, I'll even get my Deltics out for this, wonderful.

I've found an anolmoly Neil, Finsbury Park Goods yard. I think it's a loft, but, I can't move it, and it's blocking 5 tracks, 3 of them through roads.

Michael Hendle - I think the WTT you refer to is the one you've lent me (which I've used in a couple of scenarios) ?

TransportSteve - don't worry about the dodgy concrete beam too much - it doesn't physically block anything and I will remove it in a later version . It's part of the modern substructure but isn't amenable to removal without zapping a lot of useful bits. Hope it doesn't spoil things for you.

Nike - are you missing the main Kings Cross signal box ? It is certainly there on the upload - but it comes from one of the external downloads - I believe that it is part of either the UKTS-FP packs or the European add-in (can't remember). Just make sure you've installed everything on the list and hopefully it will show up!

No, it doesn't spoil things as such, Neil, I'll just have to avoid running trains in that small area for the time being, there's lots of other trackage to play with.

Most Cambridge trains were Class 31's from Kings Cross,and 37's and Class 40's from Liverpool Street,re diesel locomotives,really need a Baby Deltic,also for a time before they were transferred to Scotland Class 26's were used on outer suburban services to Hitchin and Peterborough,about the same time as the ex Southern Region MK1 NC was transferred to the Eastern Region.

Also needed are the BTH B0 - B0 Locomotives,another ill-fated locomotive along with the Baby Deltic's

Steve - I've plonked a couple of static vans to disguise them on one of the scenarios .... bodge, bodge ... there is another related visual nasty down towards Drayton Pk (same scenery item) so it will all go at the same time.

Mike-H - I always thought that He-who-must-not-be-named had produced every diesel going ! Not my era but I hope there is enough stuff that is in your period to make a decent scenario. At some stage (hmm...) I hope to create a dynamic scenery update so you can set it to 60s mode or 50s mode with a click (or two) - change of station signage to show the totem, extra buildings like the big shed on the West side of KX, the extension to Spillers Mill in Cambridge etc.

The class 15 BTH diesels and The English Electric class 23 were part of the pilot scene and entered service in the 1950's,so ideal for your route era.
Personally I like routes set in the late 50's early 60's so you can have steam and early diesels running alongside each other.
Just a note I noticed that some activities are calling for a Just Trains A4&coaches included in the pack

One thing that the manual is missing is any indication of payware etc (my bad as they say). I have the JT A4 (plus coaches in a couple of scenarios and Scotsman also (plus usual B1, K1, O4, B12 - and may have used the payware 9F on occasion too.
The trouble with collecting odfd bits of rolling stock over the years is I tend to forget what comes from where - I'll use RWTools and do an update of the manual....

If it's of interest you can get round the A4 for AI trains as JT have included a AI A4 in the new V2 add on,also not sure which JT has it but I've suddenly got a AI Std 5 ,can only think it's in the JT Britannia pack,I also used some other locomotives by Ike,they are in ukts library you might have to do a bit of hunting,His WD 2-8-0,as they were seen on lots of freight trains originating from Whitmore,I also use the J 50 to replace some of the Jinty locomotives,as Cambridge was a LNER,shed,
I'm not trying to nit pick as I really like the route,would be nice if the St Ives route could be extended,to join up with the ECML,the branch is still used,the Cambridge guided bus runs along the old trackbed.

Thanks Mike, haven't investigted the AI loco thing - not sure there - I've just used the standard JTA4 for eye-candy (though a scenario with one from cambridge is on the cards as they frequently did a running-in turn up to Cambridge on the early morning slot).

I've used a lot of Ike's stuff cos it's great and free. The J50 is used in some of my London scenarios as they were so common around Hornsey - though they seem to cause some resourcing issues.

I'm getting useful feedback from several people so please keep it coming.
