Released 21 Aug, 2014, not exactly really OLD is it? (http://store.steampowered.com/app/258677/) Does your chum have the original (by the bloke we can't mention) version which would be at least 4 years older?

As our products have been mentioned a couple of times I'll just say please pass this feedback on to DTG as they have 100% control over all pricing and discounts on the products we sell through Steam.

I echo much of what has been said earlier about the discounts. I think it reasonable to have a modest discount on newer releases but some of the DLC has been around a while and it wasn't particularly affordable on release. At least my wallet will be happy!

On another matter is there some way of working out what is included in each of the "First Class Editions"? The only option I see is to "Add to cart".

Lots of bargains to be had, nice to see items that have been reduced in price are at 50% off in the sale, sadly I already own them, picked up class 58 and pleased it has 50% off although quite new and got 20% of the class 73. 10% off south Wales was not enough to tempt me though as I only want the class 175 I have JT Western Mainline which covers the route will wait till Black Friday, Shame 175 is not available on its own.

Class 35 Hymek is in the sale at 50% off

Yes it is very confusing and I do not know why this is so customer-unfriendly but what you get is listed in the text below the 'Recent Updates' information and you must click 'Read more' to see it all. Below that is what I assume is what is included in the 'Standard Edition'. Again I do not know why DTG is making this so difficult to figure out. :o :-?
'Why is it that the railway station is so far away from the village?'
The local pauses for a while, then replies:
'They thought it would be a good idea to build it next to the railway line.....'

Not doubting what you say but this statement from DTG James in March this year on the Steam Train Simulator Forum says differently:

"We have no control over the pricing of third party content during sales, contents inclusion in the sale is entirely at the discretion of the developers."

Well I got the West Highland line South in the sale this time, gave me five extra scenarios for the JT K4 :)

That's about all I was after, really, for I already got most things I wanted either in previous sales, or for full price upon release of I wanted them badly enough! ;)

I've got plenty of stock and routes left to play with without getting bored do you won't hear me complain about items having only 10% or 20% discount..... ;)

Oh and I got The Vanishing of Ethan Carter for amazing discount, amazing looking puzzler game, but perhaps a bit unsettling!

Cheers,

That's very true Dave, unfortunately, it's a huge shame that DTG, or, any other 3rd party organisation haven't seen fit to repaint some locomotives to different liveries to enable us to operate authentic consists on various British routes on sale on Steam with these wagons, the Fastline Simulation CEA hoppers in Loadhaul livery spring immediately to mind, as the Loadhaul company only had a handful of different locomotive classes anyway in their striking orange, black and white livery, a Class 56 would have been very welcome to attach to these wagons, you'd have considered someone with a bit of business acumen would encourage more Sales of everyone's content with a bit of forethought in repainting stock accordingly, makes you wonder why we bother having a Marketplace when it's only on page 6, after 3 years, and the DTG Sectorisation liveried Class 56 was released 2 years ago, and it's still not even available in a BR Blue livery yet, either, shockingly woeful.

The UK First Class pack looks pretty good for £5.99, MML, GEML and Riviera Line.

Can i buy it for the DLC even though I already have TS?
Steam seems to imply I can't as i have TS2016 (well upgraded 2014) and says I can only buy it as a gift.

Anyone know a workaround?
Much appreciated.

Very good point there Steve, i know there are a few good reskins of the Grid but nothing that you can pick your own number, like Large Logo or Grey Railfreight even the original pack had them

But why is this 'shockingly woeful'?

You could always have a bash at reskinning it.
