Portsmouth Direct Line Updated

Post by secludedsfx »

I've just released my modification for the PDL on the workshop and thought I'd share it with everyone here.

This modification brings the scenery of the PDL up to modern standards by replacing most assets with SLN ones as well as other minor improvements.

Things updated:
• Super elevation and other track improvements (thanks to DPSimulation for allowing me to use his modification of the PDL as a base for this mod).
• Entire scenery overhaul.
• Tunnel Occlusion.
• New Quick Drives with AI and the ability to get held up by other services.

Route Requirements:
• PDL
• South London Network

Will all PDL scenarios work with this too?

Try some and see - "all" may be asking too much but easy to transfer across and delete if they don't work. The ones I have tried do.

Excellent work on the update to the route :-)

There's a minor patch on the workshop page to fix the ground textures and add ai consists for quick drives.

Will the route also be re-uploaded to include the patch, or will the patch have to be manually installed?

The patch has to be manually installed as you cannot upload assets (terrain textures and quick drive consists) to the workshop.

Here's a link for it:

I have just installed this and it is superb, the scenery now looks realistic and very detailed.

Many thanks from me,

L2B assets would've been nice, but I'll take that. Gives opportunities to run fictional 456 services. is this a standalone route like the DPS PDL?
