The SSyms and Ommr are virtually completed, but things regarding the BR 52 itself will be quiet for some time now as we have all entered very busy periods - both with Forge and with our own lives - and are marching on with various things. We've got two more even larger batches of commission work to do, and we have been provided with a wealth of information and resources by a very kind gentleman to help us make the BR 52 even better, so it will be all hands on deck to get work done rather than to sit and look at it!
We had a new project on the go as well which will simmer on the backburner for a while until the artist can move back over to it from the 52er - it's another British loco and it's quite a charming one as well.
Will bring you more when I have it but this is not likely to be particularly soon!
All the best,
James

Re: Forge Simulation
We have been working on overhauling various parts of the BR 52, mostly the bottom end, to make it as realistic as possible. We're also currently doing research into the huge number of safety systems Germany has used over the years (we've got a very pair of capable Germans on that one, don't worry!) to try and track down which ones would have been fitted to the 52ers and pin down how they work, what they look like, etc, and eventually get them all scripted, made and installed. The wagons will hopefully be wrapped up for good before Christmas but unfortunately we're definitely looking at a release next year rather than this year, much to our disappointment.
We'll keep you posted!

Re: Forge Simulation
Finally, some action! (a virtual cookie to those that get that reference!)

Bottom end attention is complete. Valve gear animated, smokebox door (but not the surrounding clamps - YET!) animated, whistle linkage animated. Brakes and smokebox door clamps to do. Some controls started on but we're getting some video etc done of the controls on the real thing so that we know exactly how everything moves first.
Progress.
