Yep, i'm exactly that wrong what Wikipedia is in most cases  I doesn't really understand how such a loco works in detail. Way too complex for non electrical engineers. I just gather the informations that i need for rebuilding the systems in TS. Therefor i ask train drivers from these locos and also they are do not really know everything and how it works. But we don't need that deep detail in TS.

Maik,
I understand that you have some access into real DBAG locomotives. May I ask how far crew permit you an access, or how tolerance your being inside the cab and engine room. Just wander how you gained this access.

Cheers,

I don't have access to a loco and i don't need that for my work. Were nice to have access for recording a bit of audio, but mostly it's to complicated or expensive. I've never seen a BR101 from inside (or one of the other Expert-Line Locos we have build) :D I just gather informations from known sources, my brain.exe and some chats and phonecalls with real drivers. Need my time to code the things into TS instead of hunting locos.

Maik, how much time do you think the 101 needs to be finished?

Three BR101 packs now released.

They look, as ever, VERY tempting, but can I afford three times €25?

Hmmm...

I've just asked about bundles/discounts if you buy more than one (they've done this with other products) but have yet to get a reply.

No discounts for these trainsets this time. Sorry. Maybe after a year we will have a sale on the 101. I guess not.

The old default Kuju BR101 in the simulator always left me with a dislike of this engine but the EL version looks like it will transform it into a great engine to drive, like the BR243/143 EL did for the Kuju BR143.

However, now I have to choose between packages which one I would want to get, at least which one to get first!

Ah, the agony ;)

Congratulations on the release,

Pricey, but as we well know a lot of work has gone into them and a lot of extra features that weren't originally planned. Maybe one a month if money is tight and you want them all. Of course that begs the question, which one first?

@Tim i've answered on Facebook

At all, there are no limited product stocks. If you are not shure what to buy, just choose one this time, try it and maybe later you can buy the other ones if you want. The prices will be the same.

Will the Bpmbdzf from the 120 be updated to support the product or is the only way to get one which supports the 101 to buy the 101 with it?

Of course, I understand that I can get which ever one now, and later another! :-)

I'm not discussing the prices - but probably didn't pay enough attention to all pre-release posts to realize that there would be multiple packages and now suddenly I see that there are 3, and am wondering if I'd want the IC, or the ICE version first, and which one will sooner get more scenarios published!

I plan to get Berlin-Leipzig once it's released on Steam, for the rest I have most German routes (although Koblitzer Bergland currently not installed). So the choice for me will initially be based on availability of scenarios.

I guess I have a slight preference for the IC version but I'll see. Today I can't download it anyway, so I'll see by Thursday I guess, and if history is any indication for the future, I'll eventually end up buying all versions anyway :D

No the BR120 steurwagen will not change, one of the changes to the BR101 project was a dedicated stuerwagen as previously to ensure that they are as fully featured as the loks. If the original option had been pursued this would not have been possible. To give full features each stuerwagen needs to be tailored to each unique EL lok.
