Ha! None...If I didn't have the benefit of the F3 HUD it wouldn't end well :o

Trouble is I play different routes all the time so never get to know any intimately. That's my excuse. Or it could be I've never tried and I'm just lazy/ poor memory.
What that man said!

I am quite happy playing with the hud displayed not really bothered about getting to know a route that well.

North London Line, you can brake for stations within sighting distance and the speed limits give plenty of warning

London St Pancras - Faversham
Sheerness - Sittingbourne

Used to live in Sheerness, now in Rochester, so they're my local lines.

Slowly getting there on Wherry Lines.

I can drive London to Brighton without the HUD - but not the other way as well (most scenarios I played ran south)
The Woodhead is difficult to me as the line speeds are wrong and I remember what they were.

Liverpool - Manchester is very easy but then I used to drive the real line in the 1990's :)

Love this idea, hope you get a lot more responses.

I consider myself 'signed off' for the following;

Cardiff/Bristol-Paddington
Preston-Carlisle-Glasgow
Edinburgh-Dundee
Edinburgh-Glasgow QS
Exeter SD-Paignton
Exeter Central-Barnstaple

With regards Chippenham, on the down you want to make your first brake application at the point where you are no longer on embankment but not quite yet in cutting. On the Up, assuming about 112mph peak, start braking as you pass Thingley East Junction crossover ;-)

GEML
Ipswich-Felixstowe
Manningtree-Harwich
Norwich - Great Yarmouth/Lowestoft

There may be a reason for the confine to the one area though....

None - well, maybe I can manage Polmadie - Glasgow Central...

Those of you who have learnt entire routes:

1) how many runs does it take you (and do you need to do different types - freight, stopping, express)?

2) does it get easier / quicker once you've got two, or three, or four routes under your belt?
