I was impressed to find that TS2016 has 813,901 owners. Until I saw that Goat Simulator has 2,315,054 owners.

Yeah, but TS2016 median play time is about 4 times that of GS (in my case, it's way more than that...) :D

It's amazing to see what kind of simulators there are. Even Grass Simulator.

And poor little Island Flight Simulator:

684 owners (+/- 668), players total 513 +/- 578.

So if there are 800,000 subscribers and say the average DLC owned incl TS is $50 (mine is nearer $2K) that brings in $40,000,000 - that's not a bad business, and if the average is say $100 per simmer, that's $80,000,000 - big bucks!

Steam says I was on Train Sim for 1200 hours but I have clocked 400.
Intel Core i7 2600K 3.40GHz @ 4.60GHz,
Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 3072MB
Motherboard: Intel Z68 (Socket 1155), 8MB DDR3 RAM. On-board Sound

I imagine many TS owners never get as far as buying DLC. Those doing so are likely closer in number to the 66k players logged over the last 2 weeks.
