Thanks for the reply Simuk. The problem for me is that the card I use works EVERYWHERE else, and indeed worked on JustTrains too until the change of authoriser. I think you need to get back to them to ask what they have done to foul up the system pdq.

Sorry, I need to clarify my answer there - we have three currencies, we do not, can not and almost certainly never will offer every single country currency in the world. We have £GBP for the UK, €EUR for Europe, and $USD for 'Rest of the world' which covers everywhere that wasn't UK or Europe.

Supposedly charging people in the ROW in US Dollars is better than charging them in some funny small country's currency (GBP £) which they may not be aware of. Obviously you are aware of, and favour UK pounds, but the thought is that people around the world won't and don't, where as US dollar is more widely known.

I can't see the situation changing for how customers in New Zealand are billed in US dollars. If however it's really causing you a problem, especially if it's preventing you from buying from the website, then please (please, please please please please!) report this to our orders team and ask for it to be raised up to the rest of the team as a lost customer.

Go back to... the payment processor or who? Nothing has been "fouled up", it's the way the payment processing works - chances are as more of the places you use your card "everywhere" move to more up to date payment options, they too will introduce this stumbling block which is now preventing you from buying. Or, it could be there's a mistake somewhere, in which case obviously more investigation needed as explained previously, because we (and I particularly) don't want people unable to buy from the website.

Please can you confirm:

1) You've contacted your bank, confirmed there's nothing wrong, asked why the payments have been declined, and confirmed the address details on record exactly match what you are using on our site to order?

2) you've replied to our customer service telling them that, and are still unable to order despite everything being "100% ok" with your bank/card provider?

No, I haven't been back to my bank Simon. I've used the card elsewhere on the net since, and no problems. There's only one site I have (suddenly) had trouble with.

If you care to fix the problem, then I'll buy. If not I won't.

I could of course always send a cheque, and once that's cleared you could send me a CD, charging me extra for postage.

Hi Nike. The Britannia manual indicates that the water scoop does work but that, at the time of writing the manual, the only compatible route with troughs is 'Riviera Line in the Fifties'. I do not know if any other routes now have troughs but I have not come across any myself.

Hi,

I placed 70013 as AI in a scenario, noticed that the weels don't move. Did anyone else notice this ? At low speeds no wheel movements, later the wheels will turn, but at lowers speeds again skating...

Edit : no sounds either.

How are people finding the brakes on 70000? For me, seems I can only get them to bite harshly or off. I will double check again and make sure there isn't a glitch affecting the braking. It may be just not used to them yet??
Is it me or upon release of the brakes, when is it the air pump should speed up. Is that main reservoir pressure or just the train brake pipe?

Also, I have raised a support ticket with JT for this already - not sure if anyone else has experienced this with "warm mode"

In my limited skills I see cut-off like a cars gears. So if you choose a low cut-off (say 20%) at low speed you'll need a lot of regulator to pull meaningfully, which in turn may make a lot more noise. On a gradient you'll need to find the balance and maybe have a few attempts.

Raised support ticket, and JT team were already aware and working on a fix I think I read.

How are people finding the air brakes on Brit though? I seem to get no bite at all between 15-21" then as soon as it hits 14", the engine stops on a dime. The brakes release very slowly and nearly come to a stop every time or fall way beneath the permitted line speed if it reduces.

Not had any brake issues but i do find it a VERY thirsty loco,i have run out of water on numerous occaisions(i'm pretty good at driving steam locos)which hasnt happened to me in a VERY long time.
