The unpacked files have precedence over the AP files. If the AP file gets updated and the unpacked files remain then TS will refer to the outdated unpacked files where they have the same id. So you are correct in your thoughts.

Interesting; it used to be the case that an update was likely to remove any unpacked files; with some even reporting that files for reskins also disappeared.

Of course there's no need to have unchanged files extracted from archives, so in theory there shouldn't be anything there, but this would be a welcome change for many if it's the new way of working.

FGW class 158 in DTG folder class158pack01. After the latest update to Bristol Cardiff my unpacked folders are still in place untouched. A verify however will remove the extracted folders and only leave the AP, not sure about ticking and unticking an add-on, suspect it would do the same.

Thanks starmedia, holzroller and gptech. I had indeed unpacked the audio section of the ap file to update the HST with the Armstrong Powerhouse sounds. I simply re-unpacked the Class 175 audio files and the two tone horn is there. Just also to confirm the unpacked HST audio files were not affected by the update.

Can you confirm that there is a specific folder FGW? And what date did it appear (or at least, the date of your files)?

I only have a Default folder (which is the ATW livery), no FGW. And I have just re-downloaded both the DTG\Class158Pack01, and the DTG\BristolCardiff packages to make sure.

Of course I *do* have a Class 158 FGW in this section, but it is a reskin by Richard Fletcher, outside the .ap file structure, and under the folder FGW_rf

The *free* FGW 158 is still in development apparently, I asked DTG on Twitter this morning. It's a bit of a joke to be honest but I'm not surprised at all.

Because when the route was released they said details about the FGW 158 would be given "soon". Over 3 months later, nothing. They haven't given any information, instead it's down to us folk who pay who have to chase for this information which they claim will be given "soon".
