Looking forward to this!

As with the people asking about the Windsor branch It's a shame the line through Newbury is not included for the same personal reasons, although (going off topic, i know) i'm sure i read somewhere that this line was being created by someone else? Does anyone have any info/links to info on that by any chance?

I'm all for operational flexibility, and people not knowing and hoping for things, but this is called Western MAIN LINES. It is pretty obvious what will be included, so can we forget all of the branchline stuff, because it is a selection of main line routes.

Its on FB under Great Western Mainline. That said, it has been very quiet for a few months now which is a shame because the work that has gone in to it is truly awesome. I hope this hasn't put the author off.

As a tester for the route in question, I can tell you that the author has been busy since before Christmas with other work.
He's hoping to re-start as soon as he can.

The route runs from Paddington to (the new) Reading, the Newbury line branches off and ends up in Westbury.
Further down the main line (Didcot) the line branches off and continues to Oxford.
Back on the main and off to Swindon we go, where again the line branches off and heads towards Bath and Westbury.
And indeed there is the 3rd side of the triangle meaning you can drive from Westbury direct to Bristol.
And then there's the main line again from Swindon, via Bristol Parkway, to Bristol.

Seeing as this new route from JT is coming, I've, rather cheekily, asked the author if he could stretch it
a bit from Westbury down to Cogload Jn.

Without firing the route up, I cannot be sure, but the names don't ring any bells.
If I get time tomorrow (and remember to do it) I''ll load it up and have a look.
Same applies for the branch lines.

Yes I was thinking that too, recreating the UKRailtours runs from Paddington to Cardiff is something I'd love to do, along with the Rugby Extras that have ran on the same route :)

I'm also looking forward to doing those Paddington to Bristol/Cardiiff services end to end as well, and I've just remembered, seeing that Avonmouth is included, it's possible to do the Avonmouth - Didcot Powe Station coal trips too!

In testing I ran a steam special from Paddington to Exeter. One of the longest steam drives in the game to date I would think!

If he was to take it down to Cogland JCT that would be very useful for London - West county services.
