No it is one enormous route. Slightly longer time to load but runs on a 5 year old PCtnleeuw01 wrote:It says it is a route collection - so I'm not expecting to see a huge enormous long route, but rather 3 separate routes sold in a bundle, and some of them already existing older routes, possibly updated to the standards of TS2016.

Will be keeping a close eye on this seeing as it's my local line too. Will be interesting to see whether it contains JT's new signals.

Re: Western Main Lines from Just Trains
Well, this all looks very interesting, and I wonder if they'll offer us the 2D, or, 3D track, we'll have to wait and see. Anyway, Darren's Bristol-Exeter is being revamped as is the Paddington-Oxford route, so, just the Cardiff extension will be new then, it should be out for Easter, hopefully.......

Some of the posters here on this thread seem to know more about this route than what is in the announcement...
I wonder if anyone can answer me if this route includes the branch line from Slough to Windsor?

yes it uses JTs signals, its a whole new route so no reason why it wouldn't, and its base track is 2D, with a switcher to change to 3d if you wish

Re: Western Main Lines from Just Trains
Now whilst it looks good; the lack of branches such as Slough to Windsor (and also Henley & Marlow lines etc I guess?) is a little off-putting.
I'd much rather see a slightly shorter main route with some branch lines added to give a bit of variety as to what services etc could be run over the route; so if you're going to Cardiff; why not pop down to Penarth & up to Aberdare whilst you're at it? (so instead of Bristol - Cardiff; why not build say Newport - Cardiff + Valleys?)

Re: Western Main Lines from Just Trains
Well OK, that's got that sorted out. It's just that so many people claim all sorts of things in a situation like this - makes a change to have a genuine comment from a developer.
Thanks!

Re: Western Main Lines from Just Trains
Yeah snap, this project will get me back to playing ts a lot more, I snapped up the Bristol to Exeter route the day of release as that's my local patch so to hear of that being part of this project is awesome, so will having the opportunity of driving from Paddington to Exeter direct in one scenario, can't wait!!rkk01 wrote:Day 1 purchase for me
My only complaint if I had one, which I don't lol, is that it stops at Exeter, now if it went all the way to penzance, well let's just say I'd pay serious money for a Paddington to penzance modern day route.

Plenty of talk about the route being "updated"-----if it's a new route surely it can't be an update?
