Looks like they are newly made Mk2E's(WCMLOS doesn't come with Mk2Es just the base game Mk2As with new skins), probably the same base model used by the Gatex stock as the windows are still quite large in those preview shots. Also I cannot wait to see the comments if the loco does just release with Scotrail liveried locos and stock after all that is only 2 Class 68s...tycoonkid9 wrote:Looks great, definitely at home on Edinburgh-Glasgow although they mainly run on the Fife Circle Line. Are the ScotRail MK2Es reskinned of the WCMLOS MK2Es, but I do know they're not the ones that are in the Wherry Lines.

Those coaches appear to have conventional doors, not the sliding plug doors on the 442. The MK2E model may be similar to the InterCity MK2Es in the upcoming Gatwick Express Class 73.faedundee2 wrote:Looks like they are newly made Mk2E's(WCMLOS doesn't come with Mk2Es just the base game Mk2As with new skins), probably the same base model used by the Gatex stock as the windows are still quite large in those preview shots. There wasn't an implication of the 442 being a basis for the coaches, they're mk3 stock and totally different even without the different doors.tycoonkid9 wrote:Those coaches appear to have conventional doors, not the sliding plug doors on the 442. Re: DTG Class 68
This one might just steal me back from flight-simming for a while. Been a big fan of these locos since I was distracted by one at my weekly 7-aside football match at Meadowbank. Since then, at around a quarter-to-eight every Monday evening, I look forward to seeing/hearing a 68 with its rake of empty MkIIs storming past the outdoor football pitches towards the ECML. I wonder if they are stabled at Millerhill or Craigentinny overnight? Maybe this could provide scope for further (albeit short) scenarios of the stabling variety on Just Trains' Edinburgh-Newcastle?

Hmmm... Any idea why one of them heads past Meadowbank on Monday evenings? The MkIIs are definitely empty and in darkness.37180sirdyfed wrote:They're positioned at motherwell overnight..

One of the diagrams does the Fife Circuit in passenger serviceAndyB1972 wrote:Hmmm... Any idea why one of them heads past Meadowbank on Monday evenings? The MkIIs are definitely empty and in darkness.37180sirdyfed wrote:They're positioned at motherwell overnight..
2G13 17:08 Edinburgh - Glenrothes 18:13 then 2K14 18:14 Glenrothes - Edinburgh 19:31
on arrival back in Edinburgh the train goes ECS to Mossend Down Yard FSX and Motherwell FO the scenic route.

You should see it at Meadowbank SX as it's quicker than running the loco round the stock in Edinburgh.

Ah, thanks - that all makes perfect sense now. I suspect we'll never see that particular scenario in TS...749006 wrote:One of the diagrams does the Fife Circuit in passenger service

I too would like to see the Chiltern version and part of the line hopefully including the bit where I live.theorganist wrote:It is looking good. I like the design of these, so much nicer to look at than a 66.
I would love to see this as the Chiltern variant with some mark 3's and at least part of the Chiltern Line.

The problem with that is I don't have all the routes required for it to work unfortunately.
