Re: DTG Class 68
A little update from DTG, seems there will be no DRS livery so it's either Chiltern or Scotrail. I'd really like to think we will be getting a Chiltern 68 + a new route for it to run on...

Unfortunately, DRS have not granted permission for us to reproduce this loco in their livery. We are continuing to pursue this and will advise when we have reached an agreement with DRS."

or nothing at all....Mr395008 wrote:A little update from DTG, seems there will be no DRS livery so it's either Chiltern or Scotrail
Have we had any official word on what liveries were intended to be produced? If it was only the intention to supply a DRS variant then that statement effectively stalls the project.
Re: DTG Class 68
Chiltern is easiest in terms of branding, as along with the Class 67s, the loco have no form of corporate branding for Chiltern.

And the AAR socket on the front next to the buffer suggests it will be the Chiltern silver and grey ones, DTG might be able to get licensing from Chiltern for stock or they may just go for the Banbury blue and grey(slowly being repainted silver at the moment) set.deltic009 wrote:Chiltern is easiest in terms of branding, as along with the Class 67s, the loco have no form of corporate branding for Chiltern.

Why not? They have released stock for various Keith Ross routes, so why not for a Thompson route?749006 wrote: I don't see DTG releasing a loco which would require a Thompson route to run the scenarios.

Anyway I think it would also be well suited for the Scottish ECML.
One of the photos even shows it on the Firth of Forth bridge...

So, its for Scotrail with mk2s looks great. Loads of pics on the article and all I would say is that the carriage windows look a bit too tall like the initial Gatwick Express images released. Hopefully these can be fixed after receiving the relevant feedback on Facebook or their website.

Re: DTG Class 68
I don't think any third party route released through Dovetail Games on Steam is an issue to where the scenario's are based. As has been mentioned, WCML North, Shap and WOSL were all third party routes and have had scenario's based on them for Loco's. I think DTG have even based loco scenario's on Aerosoft routes before now.
Nice looking model, be interesting to see the screenshots as it develops

For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it
Re: DTG Class 68
Perhaps the Chiltern line ? With the 68 & passenger stock and some kind of re-worked or re-painted c16x DMU ? that pretty much covers it ?
There's all this talk of a Welsh route hinted, do these run into Wales hauling passenger stock ? Wrexham & Shropshire ? or was that something else ? c67's maybe ...
The c68 is the new, modern face of loco hauled workings so it would seem fitting that it came with some kind of route ... The cab is pretty cool in these locos so either way it'd be a great piece of DLC, as so many of DTG's more recent creation's have been

DTG Class 68
Be great if the Fife circle came with this, or as a new DLC. I know there is the SECML but that's an awful route. Looks good though and looking forward to it, and hoping for lots of detail!

Re: DTG Class 68
ScotRail Class 68 looks great, I really would like to think that DRS & Chiltern reskins will be available shortly after release from the train sim community!
Judging by the screenshots, scenarios are to be for Edinburgh - Glasgow route.

It's looking well, I'm looking forward to it! It's nothing I know, but I notice that the AAR socket has disappeared.

Re: DTG Class 68
Looks great, definitely at home on Edinburgh-Glasgow although they mainly run on the Fife Circle Line. Are the ScotRail MK2Es reskinned of the WCMLOS MK2Es, but I do know they're not the ones that are in the Wherry Lines.
Re: DTG Class 68
How about using the ScotRail Class 68 and stock on WCML North between Glasgow and Coatbridge via Rutherglen and Carmyle?
They ran this way during the Golf Tournament in the Summer at Gleneagles.
