North East Corridor route taken down by DTG

After reading the RW America site just now, it appears that DTG have removed some DLC items from Steam today. An answer on their Facebook page reads as thus, excuse the quote it's the only way I can get it on here.....

Having assessed our entire catalogue, we came to the conclusion that these particular add-ons were not in a suitable condition to continue selling and were not up to the standard of some of our more recent releases. Anyone who purchased these add-ons prior to their withdrawal will still be able to access and use them in game though.

One of these is the North East Corridor route add-on, Philadelphia - New York, which is obviously American, but, I don't know what the other layout is, or, locomotives, DTG haven't advertised anything as such. So, if any Workshop people on here who have used this route for your scenario/route, will find that it's now discontinued, so, any new customers won't be able to play on your offerings, just be advised.
The locomotive that was included with this route is the AEM7, I've just had a look in my folder, along with some Amtrak Amfleet Coaches, so, if you haven't got these you can't play on Workshop scenarios in the future.

Thanks for the list of withdrawn stuff, I read that more was withdrawn and was wondering what but didn't get round to asking them!!

I believe that I got everthing of that that I might want except the 156 DMU....

The HST Buffer can be still acquired with WCML North. DTG was stupid for taking down the Acela, it had support for the New York-New Haven. The Class 117 had support with an AP sound package. This is very annoying. They told me that a fix for the HST Buffer pack was being tested and would be released soon, assume that has gone up in smoke.

That's bad. Removing items just leads to more fragmentation of the user base, in regard to route building and scenario design (Class 37, anyone?).

And Portland had a number of nice assets. I've been using them quite extensively in a route I'm building.

Shame about the NEC. It is actually quite a good, if early , route. One of the few US routes where you can have a long fast run. The one big snag for me was some of the road lofts, which after an historic game update (Railworks 3 ? ) became broken in that cars "flew " alongside the highway.
Once I fixed that problem, following advice on our US sister forum, I now really enjoy using it. The approach to Philadelphia 30th Street station ( main and high level ) is quite atmospheric and fairly true to life.

One fault with the NEC is that in a certain place on the route ( cannot remember the location) your computer would freeze for about 30 seconds and then you could continue. Other people had this fault. Don't think it was ever fixed.

That was sometimes true. I think it was at the Philadelphia end somewhere near Torresdale, but I could be wrong. It only seems to happen sometimes. It has been afeature of other routes as well ( something to do with changing scenery grids or plates or whatever is the correct term ? ) . Another problem with the NEC apart from the "flying automobiles" was long freight trains uncoupling part of the train at certain points. Again I have seen this latter problem reported for other routes also. Other routes have similar problems, look how many have sunken passengers and passengers that throw themselves on the tracks.

NEC is still a good route though overall.

Portland Terminal was withdrawn several weeks ago, apparently a problem with trademarks (per discussion on RW America)
