What we now really need is a 4 REP and a 4TC to go with the 73,although basically we have 4 REP's as the class 442 were built on 4 REP chassis and used the traction motors from the 4 REP
Mike

The Green and plain blue would depend on whether or not the headlight is removable if you did want oldie worldy versions anyway, although 73003 ran in heritage green with a light 73119/201 & 208 ran or still do in various versions of rail blue with a light and 207 in large logo with a light

the REP Traction motors,we still do need a 4 REP though ,the nearest to a REP would be a 4BEP(buffet electro pneumatic)REP (restaurant electro pneumatic).
Mike
Not quite - a 4 BEP was old Kent Coast design where you had a MBS-TCL-TRS-MBS and the MBS coach only had 1 power bogie each so 2 per set = 1,000hp
The slightly newer version a 4 BIG had DTCL-TRB-MBS-DTCL with one power car and 1,000hp.

Then there was the 4REP - DMS-TRB-TBF-DMS = 3,200hp :o for 4 cars but they were built to push/pull 2 x 4 TC so the two power cars shifted 10 trailer coaches.
But you don't have any routes to run them - unless the Southampton - Bournemouth route is electrified? - then PDL on diversions is about the only route.

Had to smile - just been driving the old Class 73 on a scenario I'm finishing and I've just unlocked a game 'Class 73 achievement' - wonder if this is a world first!!!
Looks like the new 73 is on it's way very soon - and it has some past links too!
Happy day,

This shows that the achievements mentioned above are working. Quite often owners of the old DLC have git the 'new' based upon DLC at reduced price or free

Just looked it up -
Achievements Unlocked: BR Class 73: Traction Pace

I would be stunned if I there was a discount for previous owners!

Well, owners of the Class 45 and Class 20 received the updated Steam versions for free, so prepare to be possibly stunned.

Possibly because those items were previously released through Steam Matthew? Steam has no way of knowing what you've bought from other sites.

It is Mentioned on engine driver it is a new build built in house by dtg so has nothing to do with the old one.

I've looked on Engine Driver and maybe I can't see the wood for the trees but I can't see anything about the Class 73 on there apart from couple of route proposal that include it as possible stock.
I'm not saying it's not there, I just can't find it.
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

How mysterious, Anyone like to explain why when using a completely old model I achieved a Class 73 Achievement for a completely new model?

How did you come to that conclusion?
The engine driver article from the 15th December about new content neither confirms nor denies this. It's just a photograph..........
