Luxury. Our ZX81 had 1K of RAM and we had to buy a 16k add-on pack.

Happy days!

Now back to topic...

Such luxury indeed - I had a ZX80 with 1K RAM and, of course, a tape recorder (remember them) to load the programs from.

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

On the ZX'81, you mean, right? Using an emulator efficiently coded to fit in <16KB RAM, and streaming both program and the data from tapedrive?

Well with the low output resolution available on the attached telly, might work

When FNW operated them they worked from Manchester Airport to Blackpool, Barrow & Windermere.
The only section of the Manchester - Liverpool route they have been passed on is Piccadilly to Castlefield Jn (about a mile).
And the units operated in FNW livery - even after moving to ATW just without branding when the contract with FNW expired the units were repainted in to full ATW colours.

I suspect a new welsh route is in the pipeline - I wonder if it could be a Marches Line? - The picture is at Hereford
I meant there were 11 outbased to what is now Northern Rail for internal English workings.

A Welsh marches route would be very welcome, Cardiff to Hereford maybe? we're lacking a full length Welsh route IMO.

Amtrak GE Dash 8-32BWH announced. I have to admit that the Superliners in the screenshot are disgusting, far more than the Phase IVb ones in the Empire Builder pack which are spot on already. I would rather see Horizon fleet cars and a "Cabbage", which essentially is a de-engined F40PH with a baggage door, included with the DLC.

Aren't they waiting until they get licensing from TPE to use their logo? I'm sure I read that somewhere.
Picture on Facebook Rail simulator page! looks like one is in the making!

I think you are a bit confused, someone posted a picture of a 3rd party 185 but isn't made by DTG so has a number of error and poor model etc.

Yeah, that one is a freeware one, by Finchy. It's not the best, but I think it'd make some good AI over the Class 360 reskin that's available. :D
