Coal and Water levels on Danny's new Britannia locos

Post by Dougie_1974 »

I've just downloaded Danny's new Britannias and installed them, and the Golden Arrow activity. I'm at Dover Marine waiting to depart with the up working and the fuel and water is showing 0 on both. I had a look in the activity editor and that shows the sliders set at 100% on both. This is a little confusing. The question is how far will I get before the activity fails?

I just had a look on the down Golden Arrow trip and I have the same problem. Again I looked in the editor and the sliders are at 88%.

Hi Dougie
The answer is just beyond Dunton Green where the activity ends for the up Golden arrow . In my case it was touch and go if I made it to the end as the steam generating was down to low double figures. and no 14 guzzeles water!!!
Dont forget to make sure the loco brake is released before departing the Marine or you will be in trouble getting up speed, I know. had to restart the activity
three times  :P
Happy new year and give my regards to all at Bournemouth station.

Cheers

Hi Andy & Dougie,
The water/coal problem is caused by the tender wag file having its type set as Freight!
Change : Type ( Freight ) near the top of the wag file to : Type ( Tender )
This applies to all the wag files in the 70004/70014 folders.

Cheers,
Ged

Many thanks for that Ged. I have just spent an hour wondering why the fire mass figure kept falling despite shovelling like crazy.
I have changed the entry in the tender wagon files as per your advice from freight to tender and business now as usual.

Again many thanks
