Difficulty downloading from DP Simulation
For the last 3 days I haven't been able to download anything from Richard Fletcher's page on Darren's site, but can download from other pages without problem!
Links on Richards page just throw up the following...
" Network Error (tcp_error)
A communication error occurred: ""
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time. "
Just want to check first if it is just me/my setup or if it is a known problem.

Just downloaded a file with no problems, could be a setting on your computer blocking the site

Re: Difficulty downloading from DP Simulation
Thank you - off to check my settings...seems odd that one part of Darrens site would be blocked.

Seems that for me it is just the Mediafire hosted files.

I suggest you check with your ISPs whether they are blocking Mediafire.37180sirdyfed wrote:I've got the same problem! My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558
Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

Re: Difficulty downloading from DP Simulation
Just to point out that DP Simulation pays to access advert free downloads from Mediafire.
In the past when downloading stuff from people/organisations using the freeware access version of MF (if that's the right description), my AVG has objected on the grounds of risky pop-ups, malware etc etc.
Not sure if this a relevant point here but it did cross me mind.
Downloads working fine for me.

Re: Difficulty downloading from DP Simulation
The downloads from your section of the website aren't working on my end either.
I have tried turning the antivirus software off to see if that made any difference, but the same result occurred.
I have also tried the main site for Mediafire but that seems to be working OK.

Re: Difficulty downloading from DP Simulation
Thank you everyone for getting back - seems that at least a few people are having problems but that it may be isolated to the few (so good to know you aren't alone in having a problem!).
I echo supersprinter16's comment about being able to download direct from Mediafire and another site (Mully's - http://mullys.webs.com/) so who knows what has happened on our rigs if others aren't affected!
Thanks again
Rod

Re: Difficulty downloading from DP Simulation
Have you tried a different browser?
I was having trouble downloading something from another trainsim site with chrome. I switched to Firefox and it worked?

Re: Difficulty downloading from DP Simulation
Thanks for that.. I've read some forums.. and BT have blocked mediafire in the past... maybe the problem lies with them!alanch wrote:37180sirdyfed wrote:I've got the same problem! I suggest you check with your ISPs whether they are blocking Mediafire.
