Hamnurg Luebeck route on the way

Post by holzroller »

According to our German peers this is now in the steam database id 325988. Mixed reaction, some think it is too short and Hamburg Kiel would be better, some are reasonably happy, and some dread yet another incarnation of the BR101 and BR294. Most think that if it is DTG they will not get the signals and the flair of the route correct. Time will tell. In consequence GBE have stopped development of their version.

At least Northern Europe covers the Kiel area and links with Hamburg-Bremen

There's a possibility the BR474 may be developed for the Hamburg-Lubeck route

If it stopped GBE from building their version of the route, then at least SOME good is already done by the DTG version of this route.... :P

(Sorry for what seems to be a very negative attitude to GBE but my own experience with the quality of their routes is not so good... Sorely disappointed... And have not seen much evidence that they have improved).

No, GBE's anouncement was quite clear. They have stopped all work on this route in light of the discovery on Steam, they will do Hamburg Flensburg instead.

The link for the route is still there Mart, but it doesn't show if you translate the page, you have to have it showing German.

Seems quite an uninspired route. Hamburg - Kiel would have been much more appealling to me

A relatively short route but longer than the North London Line! I travelled from Hamburg to Lubeck earlier this year and it only took 45 minutes.

Both go in the assets folder Mike.

Can't find any scenarios for the route though, anyone else know of any? The route doesn't even show up in freeroam!
