Hi
Nice looking locomotive but what a shame it has come with Modern Inter City coaches, especially as the Rivera route had specially made period coaches to go with the locomotives.

Surely it would have been possible for DTG to have made some DB Green \ Blue coaches to go it, thank goodness both Vr and Rail-sim.de do suitable coaches to go behind it

Indeed that is so far the biggest complaint from outr German peers, yuo would think they could have done a deal with either Eisenbahnwerk or RW0281 for some more appropriate coaches. At the moment a few potential buyers over there are waiting for a Lennart video before buying. Once bitten twice shy, plus of course it is only the DR version so far.

I don't think "it comes" with the IC coaches, they come with the route the scenarios are for.

Have DTG made an enthusuasts scenario hence the stock.

No they don't come with the coaches, but the wagons aren't really appropriate either. Our German peers appear to be more than a little surprised at the features of this Lok compared to the default BR52. I wonder if certain British developers that sometimes frequent this forum had a hand in this too?

Hi
Sorry if I got it wrong about the coaches but the shots I saw of it were with the modern Inter City coaches,so just automatically that the locomotive came with them.

I suspect that shocked is probably more appropriate Tim, in a good way. Now if DTG can keep the ball rolling with more good quality ( I hope-not payday yet ) dampfloks and appropriate rolling stock, and a decent route to run them on they might just open up a much larger German market.

and the first scenario has been uploaded across the water already, for the Wildau line. Seems to have gone down very well so far apart from some small niggles

The included wagons are probably the worst DTG has chosen so far, being inappropriate for the era of the locomotive. The freight cars will be useful for yard fillers or AI freights.

Where's this come from, DTG don't normally upload anything on a Tuesday, and it's not been advertised that I remember, a complete curve ball from DTG, very welcome of course, but, with it originally being an East German goods locomotive for use on branch lines primarily, I highly doubt that DTG will develop an authentic route for it, we'll have to rely on the freeware offerings we have at present.

Holz, any ideas on authentic cargo freight wagons for this steamer and which 3rd party developers to obtain them from, please, Sir???

Suitable coaches are http://www.rw-0381.de/epages/63770300.s ... ducts/1040 but more for when a DB version appears. Likewise Heikos DB rekos for when such appears https://www.polygonzug.de/shop/?product ... lator-2015
http://www.rw-0381.de/epages/63770300.s ... ducts/1043 to be honest these loks may also have pulled the early DR dostos as well DBx & DB13, maybe 1 or 2 y types or the longer Rekos. When demand called DR would use anything and everything available. Sometimes you have to see some pics to believe it.
http://www.virtual-railroads.de/partner ... echse.html
There are also some DR 2 & 3 axle coaches, but at the moment I am at work and can't find them. See pics above.
These loks also worked on the DB, so I think it is very possible that DTG could do a re-skin and a route. They were not only used on Branch lines, but for freight, shunting, and stopping trains as far as I know.In fact I suspect that a DB re-skin will be under way already across the water.
Wagons are more difficult as DR wagons are an area that is pretty bare at the moment. DB wagons with the black and white biscuit symbol would be ok for cross border freight, and of course there are some German models with no DB symbol, also international wagons from other countries were more common in the DR than might be exp

I think the DR 2 & 3 axle coaches are included in the freeware route Projekt Freiberg (Sachs). Version v.1.1 is at http://rail-sim.de/forum/wsif/index.php ... il-sim-de/ .
