Caledonian Sleeper

I am looking to put together some scenarios based around the Caledonian Sleeper operations particularly around Scotland and the North West. Can anyone help me with the following:
1. Where all the various portions originate and what is their formation.
2. Where all the various sections combine.
3. How they are physically shunted around to make up the one train.

I figure you could probably get some good scenarios around this using the various routes that are available which could include some light engine moves and shunting as well.

There are two separate sleepers - the Highland Sleeper and the Lowland Sleeper.

The Lowland Sleeper travels from Euston to Carstairs, where it splits into two. One portion goes to Edinburgh and the other to Glasgow.

The Lowland Sleeper travels from Euston to Edinburgh, where it splits into three parts. One goes to Aberdeen, one goes to Inverness and one goes to Fort William.

I'm not entirely sure how the parts are shunted but, having played a northbound Highland Sleeper scenario in the past, I believe its parts are shunted by the Class 90 that brings it up from London. Realtime Trains suggests that all three sections depart from Platform 11.

Interesting discussion that I will surely follow. But Alexis I guess the 2nd 'Lowland Sleeper' you mention, the one from London Euston to Edinburgh, probably should read 'Highland Sleeper' considering that the destinations it goes to after Edinburgh are all in the Highlands?

Usually the Inverness portion is at the tail on the way south after the join up, not paid too much attention as I'm usually asleep when that happens, I'm just going by where I am on the train when we pull in to London, it's a hang of a walk from the end

I have traveled on the Lowland sleeper once from Edinburgh to Euston, before the franchise changed hands so I dont know what the deal is now compared to how it was then (late 2013).

The set comprised of Class 90 + 6 Mk3 sleeper coaches + 2 Mk2 coaches (one bar the other seating). The Edinburgh set got to Carstairs first was stabled in the UP loop to the West of the station for about 10-15 mins. The Glasgow portion then arrives and stops in the UP platform. The Glasgow set is then propelled back onto the Glasgow set, the loco that brought the set from Edinburgh which is now at the rear of the train is then detached before the train is off and I assume is stabled ready to split the England - Scotland Sleeper. The 90 that brought the Glasgow portion of the train then takes the entire set south.

There is no Shunting to take place on the Northbound Run at Edinburgh.
The train arrives from the Haymarket direction with the Fort William portion leading, then the Aberdeen and the Inverness on the rear.
Split in to 3 sections and each follows out of the station back thru Haymarket.

And there is no seated coach for Fort William between Euston and Edinburgh, just the sleeper coaches. the seated part, known as the 'day coach' as shunted on at Edinburgh

Can't really add on much else from what other people have sadly really.

Do have a 3 parter up for the Lowland Sleeper running from Glasgow along the WCML. Do have a 4th part in making, just is taking time to do though.

Only bit that isn't replicated in the scenarios, is the Edinburgh set being reversed and connected to the Glasgow set at Carstairs. Basicly just because i couldn't get AI to do it. So it just auto goes into Part 2.
Formations etc are all correct and mostly to time tabled times etc.

One thing i have noticed, no body else has mentioned. You are limited to 80mph with the sleeper. Unless believe more then 20mins late then able to go up to 100mph.
