My Morecambe Bay workshop Route

Post by pjt1974 »

As some may have read, I've decided to take an indefinite break from TS and move on to pastures new for a while. I have my reasons but it's not worth getting into them now.

If any route builders would like to take up my Workshop route and maybe complete it, they are quite welcome and you'd have my full appreciation.

I don't know how the Steam Workshop handles others uploading updates to someone else's routes but I'm sure a quick clone of the route would probably do the trick.

All I ask is for some sort of credit for my original work from Carnforth to Ulverston. From the moment anyone takes it on, you are free to edit and change any of my previous work to your liking. The track work is complete through to Barrow and a few miles beyond, so it should just be a case of adding scenery.

DLC needed:
WCML over Shap
Woodhead
Isle of Wight

Marketplace items:
Town Clutter http://store.steampowered.com/app/256525/
Platform Clutter http://store.steampowered.com/app/256524/
Construction Scenery http://store.steampowered.com/app/25652 ... _151_150_2

Send me a pm if you're interested

Regards

Phil

Sorry to hear that too, I enjoy a spin along this route and your work has been excellent. Hopefully somebody with the same knowledge and skills as yourself can continue the good work.

Good luck in whatever path you've chosen to take.

Thank you for the kind comments

I've found a more upto date back up of the Morecambe route on my harddrive. It's not too far advanced from the one on the Workshop. Unfortunately, I'd need to go through the whole TS2016 install again to get it on the Workshop, so, alternatively, I'll just hold on to it and anyone wanting to take it up, I'll find a way of sending the relevant files.

Hi Phil,

I´ve recently found and downloaded your route via steam, I have to say I absolutely love it! What a shame that you aren´t set to complete your task! I hope soon to upload a couple of scenarios to UKTS.

Thanks once again,

I do hope you return at some point, your route in my sim collection is one of the greats and your route building skills are most enviable! I have enjoyed every journey and was very much looking forward to its completion. Please don't give up on it, you have created something very fine indeed.

Shame, it's a top route, I really like it.

I have also been on a trainsim hiatus for the past month. Who knows when I will play it again. It's getting rather stale in my eyes. I've been using flight sim after a few years away from it.

An excellent route. One of the best . It would be a great pity if it is never completed. Thanks for posting it, a great many people have enjoyed it. :)
