Weardale & Teesdale Class 24

Post by 749006 »

Does anyone know of any reskins in to BR Blue for the Class 24 which comes with the Weardale & Teesdale route.
I might get the route in the sale but I'm not in to Green locos - BR Blue is what I remember them as.

Thanks

It's a Class 25/0. Blue would suit it and it is summat I have considered,

Ah, yes a 25/0 -
It would be a nice loco in Blue.

To be fair, since the model has a boiler water tank, it could pass for one of the non-Inverness batches of Class 24/1 (D5133-D5150). A little tweak to the physics to cater for the lower powered engine would do the job.

Hi Richard,

You made a good job of the class 27,so I hope you will reskin the 25 to BR Blue both pre TOPS and post TOPS,as the later class 24's had a similar body, you do some 24's as well, although to make it prototypical I suppose the eng file needs tweaking, but to us unitiated you could get away with just renumbering them

Thanks for every thing you have done over the years,I still use your MSTS items when I run it.

Thanks pal for the kind words :) .

I have done a green version with full yellow ends already (some 27's too) but was waiting on a couple of things first. Might hedge my bets and release it (them), plus take a look again with regards to a blue un'.

Thanks again,

Richard

Fixed the BR logo being fliped, nose box and handrails, reflectiveness of the body since it was compressed and highly reflective and size of the domino letter as it was stretched vertically and way to to small. So its pretty much done although might do some weatherd variants.

Ooooh nice.
Pre-TOPS blue with headcode would be neat too.

The default dynamics are all still in place so It can be Tops or Pre-Tops just a matter of changing the numbers in game same goes for the headcode aswell I added a blank character so you can have either Letters and numbers or domino by using #@@# (# - being the Dot and @ being a blank space).

The numbers are odly spaced to begin with aswell since there to far apart to be TOPs and not close enough or split enough to be Pre-Tops so happy medium really and means I don't have to do lots of numberd skins and can just use dynamic numbering by default.

Isn't the usual convention (unofficial I know) that # is a blank texture?

Is there much difference bodywise between the late build 24's and the early build 25's anyway
