North London Line ...coming soon!

Re: North London Line ...coming soon!
Isn't there also a 'Turbostar' style service on London Overground around that area ? I remember not so long ago going somewhere in London via Stratford & being surprised to find myself on a c170-ish unit !
I'm sure that was the North London Line, but it may of been an extension perhaps ...

What? That's the most ludicrous comment I've read on this forum for years, don't make us all laugh, if you cannot afford 5/10 US Dollars for possibly the most influential of all the payware add-ons there has ever been in the game over these last 8 years, then, there's no hope for us all.tycoonkid9 wrote:Not everyone can afford RWTools.
Hello Xavier, there's no need to be afraid, I'm highly delighted that your route is totally different, you've made a magnificent job of it so far, please carry on with it. I don't mind having a new and old route of anywhere in the UK, we already have York-Newcastle and Settle-Carlisle in different formats, to name but 2 layouts, so, no reason why we can't have any more British locations covered more than once in different eras.xguerra wrote:No, completely different I'm afraid.
It's always the way but I would have said; had I known it was coming I would have held off with what I was doing and waited for this to come out and then make a 1980s version out of that.
Who knows? Depending on what they do with their NLL I may consider modifying their route but its still a pity that some route-builders have the misfortune of doing some things in vain of better payware alternatives.
Cheerz. Steve.

It's the Gospel Oak to Barking line, which branches off the NLL, but is unlikely to be included in this TS route.starmedia wrote:Isn't there also a 'Turbostar' style service on London Overground around that area ? Having said that, the screenshot in the original post is surely a station on the ELL, so who knows what'll be included.

Like the MML and the 319?tycoonkid9 wrote:They cannot sell another Class 378 in there alongside the South London existing one. Maybe they can just package in the existing Class 378 DLC.

Re: North London Line ...coming soon!
Given that the North London Line is both 3rd rail and OHLE equipped, I expect that the 378 that looks like it comes with the route will have the changeover simulated (similar to the 395 in London-Faversham). What other stock could be included with the route though? There are freight services that run on the route, but nothing particularly native to it. I wouldn't be surprised if the GOBLIN 172 is included actually.
Re: North London Line ...coming soon!
ahhh yes they're c172's !!! nicer than c170's inside and MUCH better than the Sprinter class units before hand ... as Simont suggests you just can't be sure what DTG will do ! to me it seems the c172 could be included with minimal alteration from the existing TS c170, but would only be of use if Gospel Oak to Barking was included.
not entirely related but I notice the Academy c170 is more fully featured than the actual c170 ! it has more fully featured light settings and working DSD with pedal, one or two other things also from memory ... so there is a unit with some repaint potential (c172 !)
I think any UK based route from BR Blue to modern day would be welcome at this stage, there isn't anything in TS2016 worth my buying into, and all the wow factor / routes with any distance seem to be US or German of late !!!

Suppose not, but there is a Class 59 on a Mendip Rail trip down the line almost daily.mjspeed wrote:There are freight services that run on the route, but nothing particularly native to it.
It's as good excuse as any for a Class 59.

There are quite a lot of container trains along the route - you could imagine any of the Freightliner locos being included.

People already moaning about another (Recyced) London route from DTG on FB. Looks good to me and I look forward to it, though I liked the one we already had too

Oh joyous day, I can hardly contain my excitement. How very underwhelming, yet another capital centric route........yipee.

What route is it that has been recycled?bri2808 wrote:People already moaning about another (Recyced) London route from DTG on FB. Looks good to me and I look forward to it, though I liked the one we already had too
I thought this was a whole new route. I really do like the London routes though as they are so busy you just can't relax for a second.
