Wow, how I overlooked this post. BTW. What catched my attention in video # 1 is that diagnostic screen on the loco missing SBB profile (there is OBB,DB and MAV) while in the Driving Trailer cab, there is also SBB program to select.

Best regards Stefan.

Hi Adam

The SBB selection is only present in trains that are certified to drive there. The loco in the first video is 1116 200. It is not certified for driving in Switzerland, hence it doesn't have the software.

Railjet rolling stock that is allowed to drive through Switzerland is marked with the word "SBB" in the selection window. For example "Bmpz1 SBB".

Taurus locos for Switzerland look a bit different. They have a third pantograph and silver skirting guards on the underside.

I hope this helps.

This is a very nice development indeed regarding the modelling and texture work alongside all the scripting and so on. Very well done by the developers.

One item that would be good is a destination box/display as seen in the real life counterparts. I did not notice any mention of this in the long feature list niether were they apparent in the helpful tutorial Videos ( I apologise if I've missed it somewhere) and would ask if it is something that could be implemented at some stage in an update possibly? I'm asking here as one of the developers, Stefan, has been responding to people here. Thanks in advance.

Hi hokitika

No, the railjet won't have a working destination display. The displays on the carriages show the class of the carriage and the name of the train, but nothing else.

The reason is that the real railjet doesn't just have a simple display with the destination but a running display showing the name of the train, carriage number, destination, stops on the way and class of carriage. Some of these are not even shown as simple numbers or letters but as graphics. This is way beyond what TS can do. Especially if you have to start to combine different train numbers in combination with different destinations (sometimes railjet double units are uncoupled along the way and therefore show different destinations). Also each carriage has its own number. When you book a ticket online you get a carriage number on the ticket. On the platform there are signs and markers showing you where that carriage will come to a halt.

It is a neat system, but unfortunately beyond what TS can handle.

Many thanks for your reply Stefan clarifying things and the interesting information. Perhaps a static display would suffice and atleast give a visual representation, albeit not prototypical? Nevertheless this is a nice set of locomotives etc. Thanks again.

I have to say I am rather disappointed by the number of scenarios (only 5, one for a route I don't have, that's 4 and only 3 for 3CCR). More will come through railworks austria or rail-sim.de perhaps, but they usually require rolling stock I don't own.

Even with an introductory price of 35 Euros I still would expect more scenarios for the 3CCR :(

Will not be easy to decide whether to go for it or not - still have some vR items I want and Berlin - Leipzig's release is pretty close too. (sigh)

That price is a crazy. It's too expensive, even with the discount. Sorry, but my money will remain in my wallet.
