$47.99 US = $73.21 NZ. That's a lot of money. Even buying TS 2016 Steam addition only costs $53.99 NZ which I have.

Perhaps a quick question to support or on their FB page will get an answer. I reckon around 62 NZ would be nearer the mark, unless you're taxes are horrific. For DTG I would say that the base package is just a tool to get people buying their dlc, it can be anywhere from £6 to full price, so it's not really much use as a comparison, but you will get a lot for your money with this.

Strange - looking at this page http://www.justtrains.net/product/rwa-railjet-advanced it shows £31.99.
The price is up and down like a bride's nighty :)

We don't pay any taxes at the moment on digital downloads from overseas but, our government is going to rectify this early next year at 15.5%. Steam are prepared for this as they have the tax icon there on the purchase page already to go.

To avoid any more panicked over-excitement, the price is now showing as: In Development. Price will be announced at release

I've never known a product with so much interest in it, and our products always have a ton of interest in them. Please form an orderly queue, like outside an Apple store launch... :drinking:

Thanks,

Simon

Good idea if a little late, but you are still showing 270 points, indicative of the 26.99 price as pointed out on another forum, and no doubt noted by many of those expressing "panicked over excitement". Possibly not the best way to describe the behaviour of potential customers. But it has to be said the product has certainly been in the spotlight. Looking forward to taking it for a spin.

I reckon this will be the most realistic train in TS 2016 on par with Armstrong Powerhouses products and few German trains

We have scripted every quirk of the real train (one of our team members spent many hours in the cab of the real train). The way the driving trailer starts to shake left and right when it goes round tight bends...yup, we have modelled that, the things the go on when you initiate an emergency brake, it's there, the cooling system responding to load, the option to increase the electrodynamic brake efficiency, it is all there. No bling! Every button and switch you see in the tutorial videos does something.

Yes, this is a different animal from the VR EL stuff but that has more to do with the fact that this is a very modern train.

It will be nice if you release additional video which will show the Railjet during driving on LZB/PZB equpped route, showing how AFB hold the constant speed, the rolling of the afore mentioned driving trailer and more sounds. Show us,please the illumination during night drive, how different is low and high beam.
BTW, Stefan, you produced excellent tutorial videos and I salute you for them.

Hi Adam

First of all, thanks you for your kind words regarding the videos. I have spent many hours trying to create easy to understand videos and manuals.
However, the reality is that very few will watch the videos and even fewer will actually read the manual.

Creating a video is a lengthy process and I am worried that it is time wasted.

I already have created another video where I explain the start-up procedure in German (available on the RWA youtube channel). If time permits I might create another video going through some of the questions that have popped up during beta testing.
One would be how to start-up and operate a double unit, or maybe some explanations regarding some of the features (why is the keystroke E used twice?).

Like I said, if time permits I might sit down and go through those things.

On personal note I have to say I am a bit surprised at how much hype this product has generated. We treated this as a labour of love which we did in our spare time, never as a commercial product. As such we had no expectations as to what people might make of it all.

Either way, we are very happy that so many have said they can't wait. We hope you will enjoy this train. Also I want to add that we plan free future updates for the package. As some of you might know, the OEBB has recently released a new railjet in a football livery. It is also one of the first railjets with a bicycle carriage. We plan to build this train and bring it to you as a free update..among other things.

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

Hi Stefan,
Pity that your videos are not published on YouTube. I've downloaded all of them and watched at the first one already four time, enjoying your excellent, plain language explanations. Moreover, I loved the sounds of various controllers, they seems to be very detailed and hi fidelity recordings.
Frankly, I've decided to purchase this loco after watching at your videos. Interstingly, how the PZB and LZB work on this modell. So, summing up: Excellent videos which strongly contributes to the potencial buyers, pity that I didn't found them on YouTube.
Best regards.
