Re: Coming from DT.
That is strange,as there is a real new one of these being made, due to be finished around 2020.
It's being built by the P2 Locomotive company and will be numbered 2007 and called Prince of Wales,it's a 3rd complete and is being built at Darlington, looking at the mock up photographs it will be painted LNER Apple Green.
The People making this locomotive are the same ones who built Tornado

Now this is very attractive! The curving of the smoke deflectors* is beautifully done.
*They are smoke deflectors, right?

Two actually ....

I think this will be fantastic but I do have a slight preference to the streamlined front.
Great model though.

Personally I prefer the original front
. You only realise how massive these engines were when you see them standing next to something else.

I actually have a fond memory of waiting on Eaglescliffe Station for the Saturday afternoon Stockton - York Express Goods hauled by Earl Marischal. This was the last P2 rebuild to be withdrawn. Ugly, but nice.trainfan11111 wrote:Go wash your mouth out with soap.......levisham wrote:I hope they do the Thompson rebuild..........................
